For that reason, battles between the two teams have always been hotly contested affairs, with split crowds in either city adding a great atmosphere to the games.
With Toronto's recent move to the Eastern Conference and to the same division as the Habs, as well as their more recent rise from mediocrity, the two teams now play each other much more frequently and with even more zeal.
