Japanese horror films - or J-Horror, as it's also known, are not movies intended for those who scare easily. Unless you're a true fan of the genre it can be a little difficult to stomach because the directors of these films know how to take things to a whole level of twisted. Many classic Japanese horror films have been remade for American audiences including titles like The Ring and The Grudge. This genre of film focuses on psychological horror themes instead of stereotypical serial killers and draws audiences in with suspense. They focus on elements such as ghosts, poltergeists, possessions, curses, and exorcisms.

Now like we've seen in movies like The Ring and The Grudge, surviving a Japanese horror movie is no mean feat. Not only will you need a strong body to fight off the unseen forces trying to bring you down, but you will also need a strong mind to withstand the psychological assault. Making it to the end of a regular horror movie is one thing but these types of films require a special type of person. Do you think you would make it through a Japanese horror film and live to tell the tale? Take our quiz right now and find out!
