Can You Pass The Hardest Rick And Morty Quiz On The Internet?

Rick and Morty is an animated, science-fiction sitcom dreamed up by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland that seemingly took the world by storm when it debuted back in December 2013. Now--just a mere 4 years later--everyone knows about the show Rick and Morty for better and for worst. I'm looking at you Star Trek fans who think that Rick and Morty is just a watered down version of their show. I mean, hey maybe it is, but it's sure as heck entertaining and funny to watch. Despite how you may feel about the show, all can agree that it is extremely popular among millennials. Everyone wants to dress as Rick for Halloween, businesses are trying to cater to fans by subtly referencing the show, and everyone knows the song "Get Swifty".

But how closely are you paying attention to the show? Many people think there is something weird going on like the Rick and Morty you start with in season one may not be the same Rick and Morty that you see in season three. What do you think?

These questions are designed to be challenging and only the most observant viewer will get these right. Let's see how you do!

Question 1

What portraits are hanging in the dining room?

There are actually 4 different portraits hanging in Beth and Jerry's living room. If you can guess 2 of the four then you'll get the answer right. Since knowing all 4 can be quite the challenge. And yes, a lot of things tend to be random in cartoons but then again some of it means something. It behooves us as viewers to assume that everything happens for a reason and that there is some sort of connection between all of the seemingly random happenings.

Question 2

What's the name of the hospital Beth works at?

Rick is known as a mad genius so it only makes sense that his daughter would be wicked smart, as well. In the show she is an accomplished horse surgeon seen operating on a horse's heart in the very first episode of season one. Now if only those smarts carried into her offspring. But then again, there would be no Rick and Morty show if Morty was another family genius. Don't we need his stupid brain waves to negate Rick's smart brain waves so that they can remain undetectable as they go on intergalactic adventures.?

Question 3

What does Summer and Morty's dog want to be called?

Morty has a West Highland White Terrier as a pet whom they refer to as Snuffles. Snuffles is a fairly minor character who only appears once in the show. If you had always thought dogs get the short end of the stick in our world then season one episode two may have been one of the more interesting episodes for you. Here we get to see Roiland and Harmon's depiction of what might happen if we grant our pets sentience.

Question 4

What running gag is said over and over again in Jerry's simulation in season one episode four

In the "M. Night Shaym-Aliens!" episode, Rick realizes his world is just a simulation made by aliens to steal the recipe for his concentrated dark matter. Rick and Morty are able to find a glitch in their simulation by showering naked together. However, Jerry is not so observant and tries to sell his apples pitch to a group of buyers. It's not until he receives an award for his efforts that he is able to outsmart the simulation (unknowingly, of course). Many strange things happen that Jerry doesn't seem to question, including all those repeating characters that say this phrase over and over again.

Question 5

Easy Question Time! What substance is Rick addicted to?

Here's an easy question! Anyone who has seen at least one episode should be able to get this right. Although, we aren't too sure why Rick has this addiction. What's so bad about being super smart and living with your daughter's family? Apparently Rick seems to understand something that everyone in his universe is missing it. One popular theory is that Rick is self-actualized: he knows he is a cartoon character and he wears the burden of always trying to entertain otherwise his show will be canceled. Interesting stuff, huh?

Question 6

Who tries to rape Morty in the episode "Meeseeks and Destroy"?

Remember Meeseeks? The blue, lanky alien who seems to be constantly screaming? This is the episode where Rick leaves Summer, Beth, and Jerry with the Meeseeks box to help them fulfil their desires. All goes well for Summer and Beth, but not so much for Jerry. Ironically, it was Jerry who advised Beth and Summer to not make an overly complicated request for the Meeseeks. Back in Rick and Morty's world, Morty's idea of an adventure quickly turns sour when they wind up on trial for murdering the village's giant. But that's not the only terrible thing to happen to Morty...

Question 7

What's the name of Morty's high school crush?

Like most teenage boys, Morty crushes on the most popular and most beautiful girl in school. In the very first episode Morty is seen groping the boobs of his crush only in actuality he is feeling up his teacher, Mr. Goldenfold. Again and again, the writers of the show seem to love giving Morty exactly what he wants only to pull the rug out from underneath him. In the episode "Lawnmower Dog" Morty is seen in bed surrounded by beautiful women. Rick bursts Morty's bubble by telling him he's in a dream and that the real him is sitting in his own fecal matter. Yuck!

Question 8

What creature does Rick extract a vile of oxytocin from to give to Morty so he can seduce Jessica in "Rick Potion #9"?

Morty confides in his dad that he doesn't just want any girl--he wants Jessica (didja get that last question right?). While Jerry is trying to give him fatherly advice, Rick chimes in saying that love is a chemical reaction in the brain that compels animals to breed. His advice to Morty? Break the cycle! Wrap yourself up in science! However, this does little to assuage Morty. In this episode he asks Rick for a love spell that he can give to Jessica. But where does Rick get the oxytocin in his love potion?

Question 9

What's the name of Beth's coworker?

It definitely tips Jerry off whenever Beth innocuously brings up Gavin at her work. As a man who is constantly worried about his wife sticking to her marriage, it's hard for him to see Beth working side-by-side with a man who looks like he could have been a Calvin Klein model. Poor Jerry. It was especially difficult to listen to Beth as she describes her love for Jerry like building a homeless shelter: no one wants to do it but they feel like they should. In other words, Beth sorta loves Jerry.

Question 10

What Rick have we been watching throughout the entire first season of the show?

Across all infinite realities, there is a Rick and most Ricks have a Morty. The Ricks have banded together to create the Citadel of Ricks. It was formed to protect all the Ricks from potential enemies. There is another name for the Rick we have been watching. But what is his real label?

Question 11

What creature did Rick extract the antidote from to cure all the people who are intensely infatuated with Morty?

She insists on dancing super close to him at their high school dance and at one point gets on all fours and yells "Mate with me, Morty". However, all of this falls to pieces when Jessica sneezes onto another classmate who then passes the love potion serum to everyone via the air vents in their high school gymnasium. Soon everyone becomes just as in love with Morty as Jessica. But how does Rick save the day?

Question 12

What group of people have taken over the planet Gazorpazorp?

In this episode, Rick is traveling with Summer (for the first time!) to another galaxy to find a new living situation for his grandson's alien baby. When we first arrive at this planet, it appears to be a place completely overruled by men and their desire to procreate and fight. In fact, they fought so much that it took them back to the stone age. But behind the curtain, we find out how the men of this planet come to be how they are. It was all orchestrated by this group of sentient beings. Who are they?

Question 13

What show on interdimensional do Rick and Morty NOT watch?

Originally, the entire family was watching a spin-off of the Bachelor. Everyone seemed into the show, except for Rick. After taking a crap on the family's interest in the show, Rick installs interdimensional cable on their cable box. Rick flips through the infinite number of channels all seeming to be just quirky, improv versions of our actual cable TV. Which one of the following TV shows did Rick and Morty NOT watch? Be forewarned, a lot of these titles are going to be ridiculous.

Question 14

Which one of Beth and Jerry's children was an unwanted pregnancy?

If you don't know the backstory then here it is! Beth was knocked up in high school by Jerry. During the episode of interdimensional cable, viewers find out that Beth and Jerry were intending on having an abortion but life got in the way. They had a flat tire and plans fell through from there. The couple to this day laments the lives they would have had if they had not gone through with the pregnancy. Beth finds out she would have been an actual human surgeon (instead of a horse surgeon) and Jerry finds out he would have been a movie star. Go figure.

Question 15

When the entire family is sitting at the dinner table, what is Jerry most likely doing?

This has happened at least a few times in the series. The whole family is eating at the dinner table while Rick is sitting there working on his inventions. Jerry perfectly fulfills the average, white married man in the show who seems to be the butt of a lot of jokes. Sheesh, can we leave Jerry alone already? Poor guy...his wife is halfway out the door and his father-in-law despises him. Well, at least he takes it like a champ!

Question 16

Who are some of Rick's intergalactic friends.

Rick is a guy who knows how to have fun. Inevitably, he's picked up a few friends on some of his adventures. He doesn't discriminate either. They don't have to be human to make it on Rick's guest list. Some of them are downright ridiculous looking and sounding. Are you able to pick out from the following options who Rick is friends with? And remember it's Rick we are talking about. Don't be surprised if he's friends with someone like a talking refrigerator with a Southern accent (he's not, but you get the point).

Question 17

What outdated, scientific fact does Jerry insist on still being true?

Although in this episode, Morty initially picked Rick to be his partner in making a science fair project. His mom; however, urges him to partner with his dad since he's "insecure about his intelligence" according to a text his mom sends him behind Jerry's back. Unfortunately for Morty, Jerry wants to make the horribly cliched model of the solar system and as they discuss the project we find out that Jerry hasn't updated his astronomy knowledge since he was in third grade. What scientific fact is Jerry insisting on still being true?

Question 18

What's the name of the store that Rick starts up to overthrow the Devil's antique shop?

Summer starts working part-time for elderly smart man quite like Rick. But something is very off about this man and the antique shop he runs. Naturally, Rick finds out right away that it's none other than the Devil himself selling cursed items. He sells items like cosmetics that make women beautiful but also causes blindness and microscopes that cause the user to become mentally retarded. Luckily, Rick saw right through the Devil's charade and made a shop that rids his items of their curses to put him out of business.

Question 19

What kind of breakfast does Beth want to make for Rick for his one year anniversary back home?

It's obvious. Beth loves her father very much. At times she is willing to compromise her marriage and the well-being of her children just to keep him around. Rick left Beth and her mom when she was a young girl and now she just doesn't want to see her father leave again. People may gawk at Beth and wonder why she wants her monster of a father around. Some may argue that Rick doesn't care about his family, but Beth still believes he does.

Question 20

At the end of season one, where do Beth and Jerry go for a vacation?

Everyone knows Jerry and Beth have an unstable marriage. It's based on Beth getting pregnant in high school and they have been together ever since. So, in order to help their marriage, they decide to go on a special evening out to hopefully rekindle their romance. Beth is not too excited about the romantic evening out, while Jerry is keeping an open mind about it. And what do Rick and Summer do with an open house? They party it up, much to Morty's dissatisfaction.

Question 21

Which of Summer's friends hooks up with Bird Person?

Summer and Rick throw two different parties at the house when Beth and Jerry go on a romantic evening out. One of these invitees is Bird Person who appears to be a good friend of Rick's. Later in the episode, he is seen cozying up to one of Summer's friends. She doesn't seem to mind that he is from another galaxy or that he has feathers. In fact, she seems to like the feathers much to Bird Person's enjoyment. Weird, huh?

Question 22

How did Morty know the square root of pi and the first law of thermodynamics in the pilot episode?

In the very first episode of Rick and Morty, Rick and Morty have their first crazy adventure. And like all of their adventures they seem to just miss being stuck in one of their alternate realities forever. When they finally head back home, Beth and Jerry quiz Morty on things he should be learning in school. It seems almost by magic that Morty is able to give the right answers, albeit in a monotone voice. So what the heck is going on here?

Question 23

What's Summer and Morty's principal's name?

Now this guy is not named after looks so looking at his photo won't help you! He is usually the first to complain about Morty for skipping class. In one of the very first episodes he said that Morty had only gone to school for a few hours in a month. Beth and Jerry blamed Rick for constantly taking Morty out of school to go on secret missions. Rick sticks up for Morty when his parents quiz him on facts that he's supposedly learning at school. The square root of pi is no problem when you have a genius grandpa.

Question 24

What does Morty name his sex robot?

Rick and Morty stop by an intergalactic pawn shop where Rick is trying to buy a resonator. Morty immediately spots the robot doll and takes a liking to it. When he asks Rick if he can have it for souvenir purposes so he can use it remember his time with Rick, Rick sees right through it and tells the pawn shop clerk he'll pay $60 for the (broken) resonator and for his grandson's sex doll. This show seriously likes to play up the male stereotype with Morty, ya know?

Question 25

What is Morty Jr.'s first word?

After all the scoodlypooping Morty has with his sex doll, Morty becomes a father to a baby alien. Immediately, Rick wants to zap it from existence for good reasons because it could eat brains and fart human infections. However, his family rushes to the baby alien's defense and order Rick to not kill it. Morty takes on a fatherly role for his new alien baby, and later on in the show when Morty is playing with his son, his son says what sounds like "Dada" but really he is saying this word instead!
