Star Wars is one of the biggest pop-culture franchises in cinematic history, and so much of that success comes from the sheer scale of the universe that George Lucas and co. developed so many years ago.   There are billions upon billions of planets within our real world, and so it stands to reason that there would be the same amount of planets within the world of Star Wars. And within those billions of planets, there are hundreds that stand out throughout the Star Wars canon as being historically or ecologically significant, but this quiz will test you on the 25 most prevalent planets throughout the series (and some more obscure ones for good measure). The different ecosystems and environments that make up these planets range from freezing, scorching, barren, crowded, dirty, modern, and everything in between.

Most of the more popular planets throughout Star Wars history were sites of the many battles waged throughout the galaxy during the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War, but some others were merely the homeworld to our favorite scoundrel, or his infamously disgusting crime boss. This wonderful planet is located in the Mid Rim, and it’s close to the border of the Outer Rim Territories. It’s the home of the utterly despised Gungans, and it’s also home to a group of humans that are named after this famous planet. The ancient planet also lacks a molten core, and is actually made up of numerous large, rocky bodies that merged together to form a networks of tunnels and flooded caves. It’s also a prominent planet in the Clone Wars.

It was the series first introduction of the Empire’s massive walking destructive force, the AT-AT’s. It’s considered to be one of the best (if not the best) battles in cinematic history.

The largest moon of the planet is where most of the latter half of Return of the Jedi is set, and it’s the largest of the planets nine moons.
