The vast majority of video games are based around the idea of killing enemies. This was especially true during the early days of gaming, as no one was interested in a My Dinner With Andre adaptation on the Atari. All you need to do make a basic video game is to give the player a weapon and point them at a group of enemies. That's all it takes to create instant fun!
As time went on, the creators of video games began to develop its own franchises, some of which still continue on to this day. These famous series have their own iconic heroes and villains, who keep reappearing in new titles. There are some characters who use powerful and iconic weapons, which have become as famous as the people who wield them. The fans get just as excited when they see these weapons return as they do when their bearers show up.
We see lots of different weapons in the world of video games. The player can use swords, guns, spears, lasers, rockets, grenades, whips, plants, music, mech suits, and magic to kill their foes. Video game developers have gotten creative when it comes to implements of death and the fans are thankful for their hard work in the arts of destruction.
