Can You Name All These Ghost-Type Pokémon?

Ghost-type Pokémon once held a unique niche in the series. In Red & Blue, they were immune to certain kinds of physical attacks, which meant that you could use them to sweep certain Gyms and members of the Elite Four. They also couldn't harm certain kinds of Pokémon, which made them a mixed bag to use on a team.

As time went on, the Ghost-types received changes to how they worked. They were resisted by Steel-type Pokémon from Gold & Silver to Black & White, which was then changed in X & Y. They also gained the ability to flee from all wild Pokémon encounters, regardless of their Speed stat. The rise of Fighting-type Pokémon in Black & White also saw an increase in their usage, as they are immune to most of their attacks.

Ghost-type Pokémon are generally believed to be the victims of one of the worst programming errors in the series. Kids who watched the Pokémon anime saw the episode where Ash needed to find a Ghost-type Pokémon to defeat Sabrina, who used Psychic-type Pokémon. When they finally played the game, they realized that Ghost-type attacks don't work on Psychic Pokémon. There is evidence within the text of the game to suggest that Ghosts were planned to be the counter to Psychics, but for some reason, it didn't work. They gained a type advantage against Psychics in Pokémon Gold & Silver, which confirmed this theory for a lot of people.

If you clicked on this quiz, then you probably think that you know your Ghost-type Pokémon. These creepy creatures have been haunting Game Boy cartridges since the beginning of the series, which gives us a lot of specters to choose from. So, Can You Name These Ghost-Type Pokémon?
