Have you ever heard of “The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck?” It’s considered one of the earliest comic books ever published in 1837. A century later, the comic book industry would be on the cusp of an economic boom. From roughly 1938 to 1950, it was considered the “Golden Age” of comics. During that time, superheroes such as Superman and Captain America were born.

The industry only got bigger when it entered the “Silver Age” from 1956 to 1970. During this era, the iconic superhero Spider-Man and everyone’s favorite team, the Justice League of America, came to life. After the “Silver Age,” fans went through the “Bronze Age” which quite frankly has never lived up to its predecessors. Today, we’re in the “Modern Age” but comics aren’t just making a big splash on paper.

The world has gone completely nuts for live-action comic book movies. No longer is the DC and Marvel war centered on a comic book issue. The war between the two biggest franchises is now being fought on the big screen. As comic book fans, you may hate certain comic films but the fact remains, if money is being made, it’s only a good thing for the industry.

As a die hard fan, do you have what it takes to match the symbol to the superhero? We'll give you some clues as to when they debuted, some of their abilities, and which company they may belong to but that's it. Good Luck.
