The National Basketball Association was founded in 1946. That’s before the internet, the Power Rangers, and a push through top on soda cans. After World War II ended, the United States was looking prime for an economic boom, so it’s not surprising a sports league such as the NBA would capture our souls and money. There were basketball organizations before then, such as the American Basketball League of 1925 and National Basketball league of 1898 but the NBA was the one that stuck.

The majority of franchises that were a part of the first decade of the league are no longer functioning today. Many teams have moved from one city to another and then to another. With so much history, you can get lost in it for days. All these logos in this quiz are from official teams that played in the NBA. Some of these logos may belong to a team but the franchise moved to another city and was given another name. It’s up to you to figure out which team was active when they used the logo. We also didn’t just use primary logos but secondary ones as well. Good luck.
