Can You Match The Disney Character To Their Home?

If there's one thing Disney films and television series have going for them, it's a plethora of places their characters call home. Whether a character is a villain or one of the many heroes or heroines, they need a place to stay, but most fans of the films probably don't pay too much attention to these locations. Because of this, we thought it would be fun to throw a quiz together and see how many people could guess where a specific Disney character lives. Are you up to the challenge?

Many of these are easy to identify just by looking at the picture, but some of them might just blend into your memory enough to make them difficult for the average observer. Don't worry, we aren't going to try and trick you (too much) with these, but you will have to put on your thinking caps and dig back through more than 80 years of Disney history to determine who lives in each of these places. Whether it's a mansion on a hill, a palace in the city, a castle on a mountaintop, or a simple cottage in the forest, we bet you won't be able to find them all. So, sit back, get your mind into the world of Disney and see if you can match the Disney character to their home!

Question 1

A beautiful castle on a hill could belong to any Disney prince or princess, but which one?

This picturesque castle stands as an icon in many Disney films so it may be tough to determine which character calls this particular residence their home. If you think about it, most, if not all, Disney princesses either live in a castle like this one or they hope to one day. We will give you a hint as to which of the following choices could be the correct one: look at the artwork and choose your princess based solely on that--you might just guess correctly!

Question 2

Who is so obsessed with money, they have a '$' in their front lawn?

The character who owns this property has a little fetish when it comes to money. That's actually putting it rather lightly, but the truth is, this individual is known for two things: being stingy and one of the richest, if not THE richest, person on the planet. That's all well and good since, as you can see from the picture, they live in a rather nice mansion. This particular version of the house is from a newly-released remake of a classic Disney series. Can you guess who lives here?

Question 3

More people live in this tree than you might expect. Can you name one of them?

This lovely locale is known locally as "Hangman's Tree" and features a rather expansive home for a number of people. While many of the people who stay here throughout the film it is featured in don't stay permanently, there is one resident whose antics afford them the titular role in their very own Disney film. The location of this place is a secret from all but the greatest of allies to those living within. Can you name one of the residents?

Question 4

Which Disney character resides in this rather picturesque palace?

There are a lot of Disney characters who live in castles, but the image featured here is of a castle most would refer to as a palace. Sitting high above the other buildings in the city, this home is one most people would only dream of being able to live in (That was a hint if you didn't catch it ;). Our character in question is one who lives here, but doesn't really appreciate all of the amenities as much as you might think.

Question 5

Who could live in a secluded castle in the woods?

Here we have yet another castle in the world of Walt Disney (There sure are a lot of them), but this one is different... unique. It is lost in the woods and almost forgotten by those who used to visit it. Perhaps there is a curse placed against this home and all of those who reside within? Maybe, or it could just be that the road to the castle is in dire need of repairs. Can you figure out who calls this their home?

Question 6

Most castles don't sit under the sea, but at least one does. Whose is it?

Ok, this one should be easy for just about anyone who has ever seen a Disney film. The beautiful castle in this image sits at the bottom of the ocean, which, as you might expect, limits your choices when it comes to determining just who calls this place their home. As you can see in the image, there are a few people swimming around, which might also help in determining just who lives here, but we will let you decide.

Question 7

Who calls this quaint forest cottage their home?

Many people in Disney films and television series live in quaint cottages in the woods. Think about all of the Grimm Fairy Tales that helped to inspire many of Disney's creations and a lot of them take place in a magical forest so it's not surprising to find one on a quiz like this one. This particular cottage is home to more people than you might think when looking at it from the outside and it even allowed a guest to stay for a while.

Question 8

Which Disney character calls this real-world location their home?

If you have ever been to Paris or planned a trip to go there in the future, this location is most likely on your list of places to go. The cathedral called Notre-Dame de Paris, or Notre Dame for short, is one of the most beautiful standing cathedrals in the world. Unlike most Disney films, one, in particular, featured this real world location. A specific character called this place his home and it stood as a principal setting in the film.

Question 9

Such a lovely little cottage. Could it be in France?

This pretty little cottage in the woods sits just outside of town, which is a good thing since just about everybody in town finds this home's occupants to be a little weird. You see, they can read... and they like it! Apparently, that's not a really useful skill in an agrarian society like the one pictured in this film. Whether or not we, the viewers and fans find them odd doesn't matter because one of the titular characters calls this cottage their home.

Question 10

Which Disney character lives in a home like the one featured here?

As you can see from the image, the person living here makes their home in Asia, possibly in China or another country thereabouts. We won't just give it away! Featured in the image is some concept art used to create a Disney film about one of the people who calls this place their home. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden filled with stone idols of various creatures as well as a family shrine where inhabitants can go to pray.

Question 11

Who lives under a tree in the woods?

The current resident of this lovely home situated within the root structure of a great tree in the woods doesn't share the name on the door. Many depictions of this home come with a sign reading "Mr. Saunders", but, we can assure you, our current character does not go by that name. This lovely home sits in the Hundred Acre Woods so you can see we are giving away a little of the home's occupant with that information already. Do you know who it is?

Question 12

Not all mansions are as picturesque as our first question. Whose is this?

This, once delightful, home is the location where a particular Disney Villain lays down for the night. While it may not appear to be the most inviting of residences from the outside, the inside isn't much more to look at either and you would be wise to avoid ringing this bell on Halloween while looking for candy. The person living here is mean, nasty, and an all-around villain the likes of which few Disney films can afford to portray without scaring away the kids.

Question 13

Whoever lives in this house must be nuttier than a... something...

What's important about this little cottage isn't so much what's going on inside the house, but what we see on the outside. Sitting just in front of the home is a long table featuring place-settings for quite a number of people. When trying to determine whose house this is, you should ask yourself who might be interested in hosting some sort of party in their front lawn instead of just inviting folks on inside to have a cup of coffee or something like it.

Question 14

Hey, Lady! Let down your hair!

When it comes to fairy tales, Disney usually sticks to the script... well, mostly. For their version of this popular fable, Disney went a little off-book and created a wonderful tale of magic, villains, and, of course, a dreamy fellow for the damsel in distress to fall in love with (after whacking him in the head with some kitchen gear). This tower sits alone in the forest only to be discovered by someone... but how can you rescue someone from a tower with no entrance that is so high? You would need some kind of rope or something.

Question 15

What sort of character could live in a tree?

Most of the characters we all remember from our childhood are based on animals so it should come as no surprise to any of us that a critter calls this treehouse their home. If you look closely, it doesn't appear to be very accessible and it is clearly at the top of a very high tree so who could live here? Well, it would have to be a tree-dwelling critter and Disney has no shortage of those. Which one do you think it could be?

Question 16

"Ohana" means "family". "Family" means nobody gets left behind."

This lovely little film stars a rather unique character in the Disney playbook as well as some loveable people who call this location their home. While the story is all about family and the quote you just read, much of the plot revolves around the difficulty those characters undergo in trying to keep their family together. It doesn't help that a little critter from outer space crashes into their lives to cause all sorts of disruptions, but, like all of these family friendly films, it all works out in the end.

Question 17

This ship's name is the Jolly Roger, but who captains it?

There aren't too many people in the Disney character library who might enjoy living on a boat named the Jolly Roger, but we bet you can figure out who is captain of this ship. The vessel normally resides in a specific place and is rarely moved, which should make it easier for you to determine just who steers it around the world(s). It has been featured in many films and television series and the character has been played by some of Hollywood's greatest actors. Can you guess who it is?

Question 18

Who lives in a castle by the sea?

Ok, a lot of castles sit by the sea. They need access to a port after all, but there is one character in particular who calls this lovely location their home. When a castle sits so close to the ocean, one might ask just what is going on under the sea... under the sea... darling, it's better down where it's wetter, just wait and see. If that incredibly obvious hint didn't do it for you then here's another: only a mute could say who lives in this castle.

Question 19

This village was designed after Machu Picchu. Who calls it their home?

When Disney animators were given the task of designing the most beautiful, yet humble location for one of their characters, they were told to model it after one of the most amazing sites in the world: Machu Picchu. If you hold up a picture of Machu Picchu against the image shown here, they line up almost exactly, though you probably wouldn't want to live in real-world inspiration for this Disney character's home. If they could be described with only one word, it would be humble. Who is it?

Question 20

This house was in a series that ran from 1992-1993

On the surface, this looks like just any other house and it could belong to anybody, but we assure you, it's the home of one of Disney's most beloved characters! The series that featured this home ran for only one year, but it had a considerably large number of episodes (65) and even spit out two feature films (One of which was a direct-to-video sequel, which is something Disney loves doing). Given the poor quality of this image, we will give you a hint: The person who lives here is kind of silly.

Question 21

Who could live atop a mountain?

Many characters call this location their home, but we will focus on only one for this quiz entry. What we see is a castle and series of beautiful buildings sitting atop a high mountain surrounded by clouds. It's unlikely any mortal man or woman could just hike up this rather imposing mountain to get to the top so who could possibly call this their home. We will give you a hint: he began his life here and fought to return, only to choose to leave in the end.

Question 22

This place is nice, but it could be relocated don't 'ya think?

This beautiful and quaint little home once housed a lovely couple who grew old together. Within the first few minutes of the film, Disney gave us a beautiful relationship and then took it away leaving much of the audience in tears wondering what they had done to deserve such pain. The main character felt the pain of loss as well and decided to move to another location... literally. We won't say how, but when this lot of land didn't do it for them any longer, they up and moved away.

Question 23

Who in the h--l could live here?

This has to be the most uninviting locale to ever grace the silver screen thanks to our friends over at Walt Disney Studios. It doesn't look like any sort of place a person would want to live. It even looks like some kind of doomed afterlife location or some dystopian future where everyone lives in giant skulls underground. Wherever this place is, we can assure you, a Disney character gets their mail here. Here's a hint: it is guarded by a hound named Cerberus.

Question 24

What sort of character could call this place their home?

From the looks of it, whoever lives here is of humble means. The shack sits within a swamp of some sort, but the person who calls this place their home doesn't stay here very long. Their job keeps them on the go more often than not so their home tends to be wherever they happen to be working, which could be anywhere. Here's a hint: this wasn't featured in a Disney film so it must have been featured in a series, but whose could it be?

Question 25

Whoever lives here is probably pretty full of themself

If you had the power to construct a palace, would you make sure it resembled you in some way? It looks like that was the plan the designers had forced upon themselves when the person who commissioned this building set them to their task. This particular palace is home to someone in a Disney film we had a hard time sympathizing with... at first. By the end of the movie, we understood why they were they way they were and they became someone we loved to watch on screen.

Question 26

Another castle, but this one looks more realistic than the others

Whoever lives here is probably a bit closer to reality than your typical Disney character. Whether this castle sits somewhere in the Highlands of Scotland or in some other place, we won't tell you. What we will say is that this castle is a bear of a place to live with hundreds of doors and tapestries all over the place. While it is home to one family, their support staff outnumber them like you would expect in a castle. Who lives here?

Question 27

Only a mad queen could live in this place

We already gave away that some kind of crazy queen calls this castle her home, but determining which one could be a puzzle. As you can see from the image, it's from a movie that featured a lot of computer generated imagery, but the location has been featured in other animated works, television shows, and even a video game or two. There are a lot of evil queens in the Disney universe who want to cause all sorts of trouble for our heroes, but which one calls this castle her home?

Question 28

Such a small home... who could live here?

This lovely little cottage appears to sit atop a root and could only be home to someone of fairly diminutive stature. While the person living here may be small, they are, by no means, a little person! We shouldn't just a person by their size anyways, it's what's inside that counts and the same could be said for the lovely character who calls this their home. While this particular house is featured in various films of late, the character's on-screen debut wasn't in this house, but one much different.

Question 29

However did that boat get into that tree?

For whatever reason, someone saw this boat up in a tree and decided it would be a great place to call home. You have to wonder what sort of person would want to live in the deepest, darkest parts of a swamp inside a busted up boat atop a rather impressive tree. Perhaps it's lovely in the summer, but for whatever reason, someone does call this place their home. Since it's the final question in our quiz, we will give you another hint: it's not a Disney Princess.

Question 30

This luminous castle is home to one of Disney's most famous characters

No, it isn't Mickey Mouse, but you can find a copy of this castle at his real-world parks and even go inside. This castle was inspired by one you can actually visit in southern Germany called Neuschwanstein. You can visit that one as well, but you won't find any special footwear adorning any guests of the castle... well, you might, but chances are they are just tourists like yourself. As this is a castle, you might have guessed that royalty lives here, but who? Here's a hint: they didn't start out living here.

Question 31

Whoever lives here must have something to do with those ears...

This lovely little playhouse is featured in a computer generated animated series on The Disney Channel, but a lot of people come and go. You can probably figure out just who calls this clubhouse their home by looking at it, but if you are still stumped, you have probably never been to Disney Land or Disney World. That's ok, you can probably figure it out from the choices below, but if you get this one wrong, you should probably be mocked incessantly.

Question 32

Which famous character lives in a hole in the ground?

We had to scramble out the name from the image, but can you guess who lives in this nice little burrow? We will give you a hint: another beloved Disney character once found himself stuck in that very entrance you see in the picture! Granted, there aren't too many Disney characters who might enjoy living in a hole in the ground, but we can guarantee that at least one you are familiar with enjoys this home very much. Can you guess who it is?

Question 33

This could be anyone's home in the United Kingdom

This one is going to be tricky for anyone who doesn't pay attention to places while watching Disney movies and television shows. We get it, the characters are more interesting, but if you are taking this quiz, you should know whose house this is. We will give you a hint: the home is only featured in the film very briefly in the beginning and the end, but it is one of the most important locations in all of Disney fiction because of who comes for a visit.

Question 34

Whoever lives here must be an important person (or animal).

Very little time is spent in this film dealing with this home so it's likely you don't recognize it. Don't worry, we left a clue or two in the image itself instead of going ahead and editing them out. You might think that the character who lives here has a somewhat silly name, but if you know who we are talking about, you won't find it silly at all. We will give you one hint that might help you figure it out: spaghetti.

Question 35

Our last castle (We promise)

For our final castle, we turned to this dark image of what would be a beautiful place in the light of day. Sadly, a curse may have been left here one day when someone didn't get their eVite and blamed the hosts who were in the midst of a party. We will tell you that this castle does belong to one of the famous Disney Princesses, but we won't tell you who (that would kind of ruin the whole 'taking a quiz' aspect of this thing we are trying to do here!).
