Can You Get The Final Rose Or Will You Get The Boot?

1.4K Shares

The Bachelor has been on the air since 2001, and since then it has had 21 seasons starring 20 bachelors (Brad Womack had the leading role twice). Season 22 is coming up this January, starring Bachelorette Emily Maynard's runner-up, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. The announcement came as a surprise to Bachelor Nation, but fans are excited. And there are many ladies out there trying to get a spot on the show to vie for his heart. Would you be one of them? If you were, how far would you even make it on the show? Of the 25-30 girls cast, usually 10 of them are sent home on the very first night, after giving up work, time with their families, dropping tons of money on a new wardrobe, and having built up this fantasy fairy tale in their heads. It would be heartbreaking (and embarrassing) to be dumped the first night.

Another possibility would be to make it a few weeks, or even to the final four and hometown dates. But with each passing week, saying goodbye would be even harder. At the beginning, the dumpees feel heartbroken because they will never know what could have been, and were hardly given a chance. Later, bonds have been formed and real relationships have formed. And at the end, only one woman can be proposed to. Would that woman be you?

Many factors play into how far you would go on a reality dating show like The Bachelor. All of those factors will be addressed in this quiz. So if you have always been curious about your potential to find love on television, or if you have seriously considered actually doing it, take this quiz to see how far you could go.

Question 1

What is your drink of choice?

Alcohol plays a major role on The Bachelor. From the moment the girls arrive in the limos, they are given as much free booze as they want. Some have criticized the show for allowing some contestants to get too intoxicated. Which is your preferred alcoholic beverage?

Question 2

Choose a first impression outfit.

First impressions are huge on The Bachelor. First of all, you could be meeting your future husband. Second of all, you are appearing on national television for the first time. But most importantly, you only have a few hours to secure that first rose. Which outfit would you wear?

Question 3

What is your dream date?

A date could be anything from taking a casual stroll down the street to the ice-cream parlor to jetting off to Vegas for dinner. The sky is the limit, especially if you are dating the Bachelor. The franchise goes all out to ensure romance and entertaining television.

Question 4

What is the best place to fall in love?

The Bachelor always takes his ladies around the world on extravagant dates. In the past, they have gone to Finland, Croatia, Hong Kong, Mexico, Thailand, Iceland, and many more places. All of the contestants think their given destination is the "best place to fall in love". Where would that be for you?

Question 5

Who proposed the best?

After 21 seasons, there have been plenty of proposals, and all of them were more romantic than most of us could ever hope for. In exotic locales, with ungodly expensive rings, and of course a few happy tears, The Bachelor proposals are unrivaled. Who's was your favorite?

Question 6

Pick a Bachelor villain.

There is always a "villain" on The Bachelor. Sometimes it is just that she is misunderstood, but often it is because she does not get along with the other girls and does not care about stealing their man away from them every chance she gets. It wouldn't be The Bachelor without at least one villain.

Question 7

Who would be your best friend?

The other girls vying for the Bachelor's heart are a good thing and a bad thing. It is always nice to make new friends, and as we have seen, many of the girls go on to become best friends. But it is hard to form a real friendship while dating the same guy. Who would you most gravitate towards?

Question 8

Choose a ridiculous job title.

It has kind of become a joke over the years that rather than list a contestant's actual job title, something weird is listed instead. This is not true for everyone, of course, but it is happening more and more. Just ask the "Canadian" and the "pantsapreneur" (the guy with weird pants who owned a clothing line).

Question 9

Are you on the show for the right reasons?

The "right reasons" for participating in The Bachelor do not include looking for fame, hoping to be on further Bachelor franchise shows, or anything other than hoping to find true love. But many contestants do not have the right reasons in mind when dating the Bachelor. Do you?

Question 10

Where do you live?

It is common that location can get in the way of winning The Bachelor. As we saw with Nick and Vanessa, for example, having lives in two places (and for them two different countries), only adds to the stress of finding love on television. It can be a make or break thing, no matter how much you love each other.

Question 11

What is your type?

Everyone has a type, whether they realize it or not. Think back to the guys you have dated, and what they have in common. Nick admitted he had a type, and questioned whether he should choose Vanessa in the end because she was like Andi and his other exes. In the end, he did pick her, but they are no longer together. Sometimes it is better to try something new.

Question 12

Do you have baggage?

Baggage comes in many forms, and a surprising number of Bachelor contestants have their share of it, from kids, to recent relationships, to heavy emotional issues. Of course, all of that makes for great TV, but it makes it hard on a new relationship, especially one under the spotlight.

Question 13

What is your favorite fairy tale?

Everyone wants their "happily ever after", and some lucky people even get it! On The Bachelor, that is rare, but it does happen. Just look at Sean and Catherine, Jason and Molly, and all of the Bachelorettes that are married to their choice at the end. That could be you one day!

Question 14

What type of girl are you?

The Bachelor is provided all kinds of different women to hopefully fall in love with. While they try to find him women he will genuinely connect with based on his personality, there are always a lot of different personalities in the mix for entertainment purposes. Which are you?

Question 15

Which is your favorite Bachelor love story?

Between The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise, there have been quite a few successful love stories over the years, and many have even ended in marriage! The Bachelorette has more successful couples by a longshot, but both have more than Bachelor in Paradise's two married couples.

Question 16

Do you "believe in the process"?

This question came up many times in the last season of The Bachelorette. Rachel was clearly in love with Peter, but Peter felt like he needed more time to be able to propose, and Rachel ended up picking her current fiancé, Brian. Believing in the process means that you believe you can find love on a television show, no matter how short the amount of time is.

Question 17

What is your profession?

The ladies vying for the heart of The Bachelor come from many different kinds of backgrounds, and they earn a living in many different ways. Some of the most common careers these women have are in sales, education, entertainment, and the medical field, be it as a doctor, nurse, dentist, or office worker.

Question 18

How catty are you, on a scale of 1-10?

Cattiness is par for the course on The Bachelor. In order to make it to the end, you'll need to be able to deal with the mean girls, but not be one, yourself. If, however, your goal is to be on Bachelor in Paradise, bring on the cattiness! Viewers love a good cat fight.

Question 19

How would you do on a two-on-one date?

The classic two-on-one date pits two girls against each other. The Bachelor takes two women on a date, usually somewhere remote (and usually two women who hate each other, because obviously). One gets a rose, and one is sent home. The best date of this kind ever was when Bachelor Chris Soules left both Ashley I. AND Kelsey in the desert!

Question 20

Are you a cat or a dog person?

People can pretty much be divided into two groups: cat people and dog people. It seems like there have been more dog people on The Bachelor, like Ben Zorn, who is obsessed with his dog, and Rachel, who has a pup, too. If you are neither a cat or a dog person, perhaps you are a Chicken Enthusiast, like Tiara.

Question 21

Are you afraid of commitment?

The Bachelor is all about commitment. In fact, you are supposed to meet, fall in love with, and get engaged to someone who was previously a complete stranger- all in less than two months! This was a problem for Rachel's runner-up, Peter, and it lost him the girl he loved.

Question 22

When should you first say "I love you"?

Saying "I love you" for the first time in a relationship is a huge milestone. It is also very nerve-wracking, because whoever says it first doesn't know if it will be reciprocated. In Bachelor world, the "I love you"'s start flowing pretty quick, and by the fourth or fifth episode, people have already begun spitting it out. Of course, the Bachelor is never allowed to say it back until he proposes (unless you are Ben Higgins).

Question 23

Which Bachelor would you most like to date?

There have been so many great Bachelors, and some terrible ones too. Juan Pablo Galavis was probably the worst one, and then there was Brad Womack, who got the gig twice, and still couldn't find anyone. Some of the most popular Bachelors were Ben and Sean, and the rest fall somewhere in the middle. Who is your crush?

Question 24

Do you want to be a part of the Bachelor Family forever?

This is an important question, because many Bachelor leads and contestants go on to become best friends with other leads and contestants. Some date, many go on other franchise shows, and a ton of them seem like their life after the show is all about being part of the Bachelor. If you are on the show, just how long do you want this to be part of your life for?

Question 25

Choose a Bachelor quote.

The Bachelor is full of memorable quotes that we will never, ever forget. The mixture of alcohol, raging emotions, and all sorts of personalities forced together makes for some great quotes, and they come from some of the most memorable contestants ever. Which is your favorite?
