Every Disney fan can answer questions about the heroes, the princesses, even the villains... but how many can you get right when it comes to the sidekicks? These little guys are the ones that often provide the comic relief, but they do so much more than that. They are also the ones who are there for the heroes (and the villains), helping them succeed, taking part in their plans for good or for evil, and of course, being their friend. It seems that in the wonderful world of Disney, it's almost impossible to be a real hero or villain if you don't have some kind of sidekick backing you up!
Often, Disney sidekicks are animals, but they don't have to be. Aliens, humans, pixies, and so many more creatures can all be found at the side of the main characters in the magical world of Disney, and we love each and every one of them. Or, at the very least, we love to hate them, or love to laugh at their ridiculous antics!

Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed were Scar's loyal sidekicks during his plot to overthrow the throne and take Pride Rock for himself in The Lion King. They were at the head of his hyena pack when he plotted to kill Mufasa, and were the ones to launch the stampede that would kill the King. They were also given one other big job to do, but failed at it, because they aren't actually that smart or capable... and Scar soon realized he should have sent someone better to do the job.
Who voices Zazu?
Zazu, the sidekick of Mufasa and hilariously uppity right-hand man to the throne is one of the funniest parts of The Lion King - and no wonder, given that he is voiced by a famous comedian. Although the voice actor for this little bird did change for the sequels to The Lion King, in the original movie, he was voiced by a famous Brit, whose inimitable tones can be heard as he tries, and fails, to keep young Simba under control.
What did Kronk make for dinner?
In The Emperors New Groove, the villainous Yzma's sidekick is one of the most lovable characters in the movie. Even though he is on the side of evil (for most of the time, anyway), it's not because he is evil himself. It's because he loves Yzma, likes the idea of power, and also really isn't smart enough to figure out what else to do. He's got a good heart, though, and he's a great cook! What does Tink's pixie dust do?
Tinkerbell is an interesting little sidekick - although she is Peter Pan's best friend, and the two have been going on adventures together for a long time. She's also pretty much the only character in Peter Pan with actual powers - being a pixie, with magical pixie dust! However, she's also sulky, childish, and extremely jealous over Peter Pan - so when Wendy comes along, she lets her emotions get the best of her and even works with their enemy, Captain Hook!
