Build The Ultimate Milkshake To Get A Celeb Hubby!

Milkshakes are something that are hard to get tired of. With so many different toppings and flavors, we could have a different milkshake for every day of our lives without ever having the exact same one. There's the common staple flavors like vanilla and chocolate but also more uncommon ones like taro. Best of all, there's a milkshake for everyone - even if lactose intolerance is an issue. Coconut milk and soy milk have our backs there.

That's not to say we can't make gross milkshakes too. Pretty much every combination of food out there has been tested, so we're willing to bet that some odd flavors have been mixed into milkshakes. Ever heard of bacon-flavored milkshake? How about chicken nugget flavored? We're not exactly sure who would have thought these were good ideas. Not exactly the best contenders for the contest of best milkshake flavors.

But is it possible to make a milkshake fit for a celeb? Or is it going to be a complete flop? It's time to put our milkshake building skills to the test to see which celebrities will come to the yard for these milkshakes?

Question 1

What size milkshake?

This might sound like a silly question. Maybe it is. But it's pretty important! If you're going to be adding lots of heavy additions to your milkshake, maybe keeping it smaller is a better idea. You don't want to take forever to finish and end up with a sad melted milkshake near the end.

Question 2

What % milk?

Here's an important question: what percentage milk fat are you going to use for your milkshake? It's the base for your drink so pick carefully! Think about whether or not calories and fat content are a huge concern. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself and forget about the numbers.

What kind of occasion is this milkshake for?

Before you build your milkshake, think of what kind of time you're going to be wanting to drink it at. Is it going to be at a party? For a cheat day meal? During a road trip? On the go? You pretty much get the idea here. You're probably not going to want a milkshake that's piled sky high when you're driving in the car.

Choose an ice cream flavor!

Here's one of the fun parts: choosing which ice cream flavor to put into your milkshake. You can be safe and choose your standard flavors like vanilla or chocolate. If you're feeling more adventurous, maybe rocky road or peanut butter will be more your style.

It's just not a milkshake without a straw. There's just something wrong about drinking straight from the glass. That would make for a mess if you had any toppings. This is just one of those little extra touches that makes a milkshake feel more like a milkshake. No wrong answers here!

Choose what color of glass you're going to serve your milkshake in. You can make it match the color of your milkshake or your straw if you like. It pretty much has no bearing on how your milkshake is going to turn out but it's another one of those little things that adds a little personality and fun!

Choose something extra to put in!

Choose one of the following 'secret' ingredients to put in your milkshake. Which one appeals to you the most? These are things you think might add a good flavor or good texture. Hopefully it doesn't clash with the rest of the stuff you put in! Yum!

What kind of sauce on top?

For an extra bit of flavor, choose a sauce to drizzle over the top of your milkshake. For example, the chocolate sauce you usually put on sundaes. You're already have dessert so you might as well make the most out of it and add as much delicious stuff as possible, right?

Sprinkles?

Pick or pass on sprinkles! Everyone loves sprinkles - right? They're bright and come in all different shapes like stars or little rectangles. They're the perfect way to add a little extra crunch without adding an overpowering flavor to anything sweet, not just milkshakes.

Powdered sugar?

Pick or pass on powdered sugar! Often found on various pastries and street foods, powdered sugar is the perfect complement to almost any sweet treat. It could potentially make your milkshake even better than it already is! Just don't mistake it for regular sugar - there is a difference!

Going to be working out a lot? Why not add protein powder to your milkshake. This might sound like an odd addition, but you might be surprised to know that protein powders come in all sorts of flavors now. So don't worry about your milkshake tasting bad - vanilla or chocolate protein powders exist for that reason!

If you're looking for a healthier way to add some flavor to your milkshake, a couple of mint leaves on top might do the trick. It seems to work for other desserts, so why not milkshakes? Technically, you're getting some leafy greens in. Very technically. It's better than nothing!

Melt-y and sweet, who could resist lava cake? If you can't get enough of chocolate, lava cake filling is going to be on the list of many things you're going to want to put into your milkshake. Careful not to make the whole milkshake just lava cake filling instead!

Pick or pass on adding bananas to your milkshake! Some people hate them because they're too mushy in texture, but they're good for adding sweetness and being a little more healthy than your other typical milkshake ingredients. Better to get some potassium in than none!

Pick or pass on adding rice cake to your milkshake! Rice cakes can come in both chewy or crunchy texture - best of all, they pretty much take on the flavor of whatever you put them in. Whether you're going to break them into pieces and sprinkle them on top or blend them into the drink itself, it's not a bad choice!

Pick or pass on adding a sundae to your milkshake! You might have already added ice cream to your milkshake, but maybe you're feeling more festive. Look no further than adding a sundae to your milkshake! It has everything a dessert lover needs - ice cream, dessert sauce and cherries.

Churros?

Pick or pass on adding churros or at least a sugar/cinnamon mix to your milkshake! No one can resist the crunchy outside and wonderfully soft insides of a churro. You don't even need to go out to a carnival to get churros; they're another item you can bake yourself easily.

Twizzlers?

Pick or pass on adding twizzlers (or red licorice) to your milkshake! A lot of people don't seem to be too fond of licorice, probably much less in their milkshakes. But for those who like it, it might be just the thing to kick your milkshake up a notch.

Chocolate chips?

Pick or pass on adding chocolate chips to your milkshake! You find chocolate chips in pretty much everything - cookies, cakes, donuts and even muffins. At the right temperature, they're a gooey delight. So, why not add them to milkshakes too? Careful you don't vacuum them up your straw too fast!

Edible glitter?

Pick or pass on adding edible glitter to your drink! Want a little bit of extra wow in your drink without extra calories? Edible glitter is great for that. It's made from corn starch or agar agar (seaweed). You'll probably be finding glitter on yourself for weeks afterwards, but it's worth it!

Pick or pass on adding a sweet potato to your milkshake. It might not be the first thing you think of adding to your shake but it'll sweeten it while you get some of your daily fibre and vitamins in. What a good way to kill two birds with one stone, right?

Pick or pass on adding cotton candy to your milkshake! It's light and fluffy and sweet - we've all heard of cotton candy flavoring in candies and ice creams but probably not so much in drinks.
