Are you the greatest Dragon Ball Z fan? Can you prove that? How many of the villain can you really name? There are an awful lot of them. After all, Dragon Ball has been a huge franchise for a long time. There are well over 50 villains that we could look at today. But that might be going a little too far, even for extreme fans. And if that's not too far, then maybe you should consider getting a bit of a life, or just having your own private quiz with whichever friends want to nerd out on how many villains there really are in DBZ.
Either way, the important thing is that you're here to test your skills against a great selection of villains. Some of them will be easy to conquer but you might struggle with some others. A lot of them happen to look like Goku for one reason or another (and maybe sometimes even are Goku). Others are a little more obscure, but you're the one who wants to be crowned the biggest DBZ fan, so you best start digging into this quiz to show everyone what you've got and see how many villains you can name. Who Is The Original Zamasu Behind The Zero Mortal Plan?
The Zero Mortals Plan, also called the Zero Humanity Plan, Zero Humans Plan, or Zero Human Project was a plan made to eliminate all mortals in every timeline in existence. This resulted in a conflict waged together by Earth's Resistance and later the Z Fighters against this specific villain and later Future Zamasu in the alternate and main timelines. The plan was stopped but the conflict was ended with an entire alternate timeline being erased. Bad luck for all of those characters.
Who Is Maybe The Greatest DBZ Villain Of All?
He's prince of the fallen Saiyan race and the eldest son of the King. The older brother of Tarble, the husband of Bulma, the father of Trunks and Bulla. Alongside Goku, Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo, he is easily one of the most prominent characters in the series, receiving more character development after being introduced than most. He is purposely made out to be one of the coolest villains of all, and while he may not be the most powerful he's definitely one of the greatest.
Who Looks Like An Eye-Patched Version Of Goku?
This guy looks an awful lot like Goku...is he related? Or is that just an evil Goku? You should know that he's a space-pirate Saiyan who was once a member of the Saiyan Army under the Galactic Frieza Army, but he decided to go rogue and off into the cosmos to conquer planets for himself with his group of henchmen known as the Turles Crusher Corps. It's amazing how some of these characters just have the power to go around and take whole planets as their own.
Who Is This Tiny Blue "Mastermind"?
"These are the black star Dragon Balls. They were made long ago before Kami separated from Piccolo. And I know this because I am a brilliant researcher and an unrivalled mastermind...with a special knack for devious behavior." The villain who said this is a small, impish blue creature who craves nothing more than power and he desperately dreams of ruling the world. He used to just rule his castle in the Mushroom Forest with his two followers, Shu and Mai.
Who Is The Chilling Villain?
"Yes! It is I who decides who lives and who dies! All living things are mere playthings to me! No one can comprehend my power and cunning!" This guy even finds his name in the title of one of the DBZ movies and he's really not a nice guy. He's the oldest son of King Cold and he's the older brother of a pretty famous...or infamous character from both the show and the video games. His final form is a wicked bio-mech.
Who Is This Genetically Engineered "Perfect" Villain?
"You see, I'm perfect, my strength is perfect, and with that I shall bring equally perfect destruction through the rest of the universe." the ultimate creation of Dr. Gero, who came from a future timeline, this character was designed to possess all the abilities of the greatest fighters to have ever lived on or visited Earth; the result was this "perfect warrior", who possessed numerous genetic traits and special abilities that made him one of the more formidable villains in the DBZ universe.
Who Is This Villain Named After An Instrument?
"It's ironic, isn't it? After all my years of training to defeat your father, I go out like this trying to save you; his son." Also known as Ma Junior, this character is a Namekian and also the final child and reincarnation of a demon king. He spent a lot of time fighting against Goku but eventually gained tremendous respect for him. He even ended up great friends with Goku's son Gohan. More than that, he basically sacrificed himself to save Gohan.
Which Cold-Hearted Villain Is This?
"I doubt I need an introduction, but just in case, I am the mighty _______, and yes, all the horrible stories you've heard are true." This character was the emperor of Universe 7. He had his own brutal army and he was feared by many. He is the second son of King Cool, the younger brother of another chilling character, and the father of Kuriza. This villain is basically the signature villain of the DBZ franchise. After all, he's the reason Goku ended up on Earth in the first place.
Who Is This Red-Faced Villain?
This incredibly evil villain is the main bad guy in the DBZ film Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. This isn't the only place he's found in the DBZ universe but it means quite a bit that he has his own movie. He is a demon of great evil and is actually described as the "living definition of evil" In his regular form, this demon is actually a gigantic yellow beast, but his "Super" form is this humanoid red and purple form that you see here.
Who Is This Big Dinosaur Villain?
This villain is one of the Giras species. He entered the World Martial Arts Tournament and definitely found his way to being hostile against Goku and his buddies. Sure, he later finds his way to becoming an alright guy (or dinosaur) and comes to respect Goku and even cooperates with him on more than one occasion. But that doesn't stop him from being a big dino pain in the keister. He's surprisingly smart and was able to outwit Goku several times. And he was smart enough to know that Goku was better than him.
Who Is This Whacky Character Who Has Many Forms?
This character has many forms, all of which are shown in the accompanying photo. However, each form has a different personality and goals, which basically makes them separate individuals. All of the forms are referred to as this one villainous character, but the various forms get their own names in the collection of Dragon Ball Z video games out there. Basically, this character goes from being just a little psychotic kid to a fully grown somehow less powerful bad guy.
Which Villainous Android Is This?
"Why do you think I protect that big island alone? Because I am enough." This character's name was originally Lapis when he was a human being. This character is technically a cyborg due to having once been normally human. He was created to help Gero with his vendetta against Goku, who beat Gero's army when he was only a kid. Gero is killed by this character for the simple reason that he thought Gero was inferior...and it seems clear he was.
Who Is This Cool Space Pirate?
"I'm unsure as to who this "Frieza" person who you continue rambling on about is. For I am the notorious space pirate, ______! You would do wise to remember that name, and tremble at the sheer power it conveys!" This character is an ancestor of Frieza and is very similar to him in both looks and attitude. He's the main villain in both the anime and manga of Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock. He doesn't like to admit someone is better than him, but he warns his family of the Super Saiyan.
Who Is This Three-Eyed Martial Artist?
"This is not about me. Or rather, this is about the bad things in my life that made me no better than King Piccolo. This is about atonement. And I only hope it's enough." This former villain is a disciplined, reclusive and very devoted martial artist. He's probably one of the strongest Earthlings within the Dragon Ball universe, if not the strongest. However, since he's descended from the Three-Eyed People, this guy has some pretty special inhuman traits as well. He plans to kill Goku, but like so many, he fails and becomes Goku's ally.
Who Is This Purple Alien Captain?
"The purpose of striking a pose is not to become like a wallpaper. That's why we chant loudly when we pose, to draw attention to our magnificence. I know. I'll just have to raise the stakes a little bit. The best poser gets a candy!" This guy is the captain of an elite mercenary force and is the secondary villain of the Frieza Saga. Of course, once this character gets turned into a frog, he is much more useless than he already was.
What Is The Name Of This Cute Little Villain?
"And then I got an idea that was very good. A tournament with all the universes together. I think we should try it sometime; wouldn't that be fun?" This is a weird villain. He actually comes across as a really sweet little guy. He is the Omni King and rules over a whole universe. He makes friends with Goku...but this guy has a temper about as short as he is. When he gets upset about something, he destroys whole universes. And he does it while saying "squish"
What Is The Name Of Captain Ginyu's Mercenary Group?
This elite group of mercenaries was employed by Frieza to take over planets as a part of his army. The members of this group are all special troops of a "High-Level Executive Class" within the Galactic Frieza Army, with Ginyu himself acting as captain of the group Ginyu was basically Frieza's right-hand man. These guys are basically evil Power Rangers. There are five of them and they each have a specific coloured outfit...but clearly the Power Rangers are way cooler.
Who Is This Evil Doctor?
"I can't tell which is more enjoyable, my brilliant mind or the sweet smell of victory!" This villain is what they call a Machine Mutant and he's one of the main antagonists that first appears in the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga of Dragon Ball GT. All this guy wants is to rule the universe. He's somewhat of a mad scientist and he throws anyone he can to the dogs. After all, he betrayed Dr. Gero to the Androids. Not a nice guy.
Who Is This Cold-Hearted King?
"My clan is feared throughout the Universe! What fool dares challenge our supremacy? I will afford him the honor of dying by the hand of King ________ himself!" This character likes his two chilling children in the DBZ universe should be able to transform. At least according to the Dragon Book. However, he never seems to transform the entire time he's in the series. That being said, he's one of the tallest and most imposing characters so maybe he doesn't need to?
Who Is This Villain Named After A Vegetable?
"That little pimple of a shield is going to pop and the three of you are going to ooze into the Dead Zone like the pus that you are!" This crazy villain is a Makyan from the DBZ series. He is the main bad guy in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone. Even though he gets his ass kicked in Dead Zone, he shows up again as the main villain in his own Saga that takes place between the Frieza and Trunks Sagas.
Who Is This God-Like Super Saiyan?
"If you'd just let me kill you all before, you wouldn't be dealing with this pain now. You're all a complete and utter waste of Saiyan blood!" This character is very interesting. He's the main villain in a number of different sagas such as The Legendary Super Saiyan and Second Coming. He's powerful enough on his own, but he also has a god form that allows him to take on both Vegeta and Goku at the same time! That's one good bad guy.
Who Is This Slimy Villain?
"Yesterday you might've had a chance. But thanks to the Dragon Balls, you're fighting Lord Slug in his prime!" This villain is a Namekian who was raised on Planet Slug. He is apparently a Super Namek. He was sent to Planet Slug to escape the destruction of Namek itself. He managed to avoid extinction and became a supervillain thanks to a genetic disorder that is specific to Namekians. He has managed to raise an army in order to conquer other planets...and does a pretty good job of it.
Who Is This Slippery Princess?
"Oh, my dear, perhaps it's true that I wasn't able to deceive your heart, but your eyes, what about your eyes? Have they been deceived all along? You poor, blind fool. You can't even see what's in front of you anymore, can you?" This villain was first introduced in a DBZ anime and was definitely pretty scary. She comes across as this beautiful woman but is, in fact, a hideous and giant creature. She lures her enemies to her castle on a street named after what she turns into!
Who Is The Apprentice Of The Supreme Kai?
"Evil is violence like that of the Barbarians and conceit like that of Son Goku, who would trade blows with the gods. Mortals use their god-given wisdom for evil and spoil our beautiful world. The mortals who have gained wisdom are true evil. Does this not strike you as half-hearted? What good are gods if they do not destroy evil?!" This villain believes that mortals are the root of all evil, and that they should all be destroyed. Sounds like a sweet guy.
Who Is This Villain From The Race Of Hera?
"The universe is littered with the bones of those who dare to think otherwise." This villain appeared in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound. She is the only female member of the Galaxy Soldiers. The Galaxy Soldiers are an elite group of mercenaries who work for Bojack (no, not Bojack Horseman). This villain is a very powerful character who could kick Krillin's ass all by herself. She even is a pretty good match against Future Trunks. She's killed by her own leader though.
Who Is This Anubis-Looking Villain?
"Before any creation must come destruction!" This villain is actually a god. He is the God of Destruction in Universe 7. Which is strange that he has a martial arts teacher then...since he's a god. Either way, his brother is Champa who is the god of destruction of Universe 6. This godly bad boy was the main villain of a God of Destruction Saga. After his defeat in that saga, he does return as a supporting character in several other storylines.
Who Is This King Of Demons?
"I'll win. I am ________. King of demons realm! Three thousand Kili or four thousand Kili... There is no one in the universe who can exceed my power!" This scary villain is king of the Demon Realm. He's existed for thousands of years, but was put under the control of the wizard Babidi's by way of a spell. This made this king the right-hand man of the wizard. At least until Majin Buu showed up on the scene. Strange to see a demon king under mind control
Who Is This Saiyan General?
"What's wrong? Oh wait, don't tell me. I think I know what you need. A nice trip to the afterlife. One way, of course." This villain is an elite Saiyan warrior. He comes from Planet Vegeta. He's even Vegeta's partner in combat from time to time. This guy was the general of the Saiyan army and protector of the then young prince Vegeta. This was before the destruction of the planet of course. After the destruction, this guy along with Vegeta and Raditz work under Frieza.
Who Is This Demon God
"Damn this despicable world! I'll destroy it all!" It seems every single DBZ villain just wants to destroy planets and then universes. They just seem to hate people. This guy is actually a god. A demon god to be exact. He is the main villain of Dragon Ball Xenoverse as well as God of Demon Realm. His whole goal in life is to destroy all of history so that he can begin anew as a super powerful, full-reigning time god.
Who Is This Mutant General?
"Why did you decide to start walking rather than continue to crawl? And then why did you venture into space rather than continue to walk? Progress, my little friend. Natural evolution. Just as the inferior beings of this planet were replaced by our robot mutants, so too does forward progress dictate that this must happen throughout the galaxy. Dr. Myuu is the grand conductor of this orchestration, and there is nothing you can do to stop him! The strong must flourish and the weak must perish!"
Who Is This Monster Minion Of Babidi
"Welcome to the planet of darkness. You're scratching your head, aren't you? You can't see me but I can see you." This creature hails from the planet Dark Star. He is one of Babidi's minions. What is his ultimate goal? Like the other minions, his main job was to help unleash Majin Buu on the universe. He sports the Majin symbol on his chest rather than his head. This monster villain loves nothing more than to eat his enemies when he gets a chance.
Who Is This Chilling Businessman?
"Yes, I start my own wars, but then I resolve them and buy up all the war-ravaged lands at bargain prices! After that, I make a killing off the very lucrative post-reconstruction profits! I'm telling ya, it's quite a business model I've cooked up, here. I'm the problem and the solution!" This bad guy is the emperor of Universe 6...or at least he was until Frieza betrayed him and had him erased. Frieza was the emperor of Universe 7 at the time.
Who Is This Villain Rival Of Mr. Satan?
"When you're as strong as us, this kind of job is like taking baby from a candy!" This big bad guy is just a brute of a man. He is one of the very few Earthlings to actually matter at all in the DBZ universe. He is also one of two Earthlings to be caught up in the mind control of the great Babidi. This guy loves nothing more than beating down people in his way. He was a pretty intense bloodlust.
Who Is This Mousy Little Villain?
"Sorry, Beerus... You're gonna have to disappear." This little mouse of a villain is actually a god. In fact, he is the God of Destruction for Universe 4. You might not expect that from such a little guy, but he's got a lot of power behind him. But he doesn't like to use it often. He's very lazy and spends a lot of time playing video games and eating junk food. And I'm sure it doesn't help his laziness that his martial arts teacher is named Cognac.
Who Is This Babidi Baddy?
"Welcome... to my home planet! I've won many great battles here, and by now, you've noticed that my planet is very different from yours. It's the gravity. Ten times stronger than Earth! Your hopes of winning are falling faster than that stone! You won't leave here alive!" This bad boy here is the guardian of the sealed ball that contains Majin Buu on Babidi's spaceship. That's a pretty important and high-level job. But this guy's arrogance ends up costing him.
