Most young people can't wait to move away from home and finally have a space that they can call their own. They crave independence and even if it means they have to sort out their own laundry and meals, it still feels worthwhile because they are standing on their own two feet.
But becoming an adult is more difficult than most young people think. You might legally become an adult on your 18th or 21st birthday but that doesn't mean you magically know everything there is to know about the world. Becoming an adult doesn't just entail having a job and paying the rent, it means entering into a world full of responsibilities.
Now while most people can't wait to get started on their own, others are not so keen to leave home and we can't say we blame them. Having your mom around to fix meals and sort out the cleaning and laundry is great and as an adult, it leaves you plenty of time to get on with other things.
