A True Trainer Can Match The Pokemon To The Generation

Pokemon has been around for almost twenty years. There have been over 1,000 episodes of Pokemon since the show went on air in 1999 and twenty Pokemon movies. Never mind the games for a number of different systems and the cards. Over the years we have been introduced to a number of different Pokemon that it would almost be impossible to remember every single one and where every single one came from. However in order to become a true Pokemon Master you will need to know this information so that you can beat the Elite Four. This knowledge will help you chose the correct Pokemon for all of your battles in order to inflict the most damage as well as take the most hits.

If you are a die hard Pokemon fan than you have probably watched every season, binged all the movies and beat all of the video games. If this is true then you probably know all of the Pokemon featured in these games/shows like the back of your hand. Lets see how good of a trainer you are with this test to see if you can match the Pokemon to the generation! We included all types of Pokemon in this quiz including starters, common and rare Pokemon!

 

Question 1

Chimchar

Chimchar is a fire type Pokemon that was offered as a starter in one of the previous Pokemon generations. Chimchar is a bipedal Pokémon that resembles a chimpanzee. Chimchar evolves into Monferno and his final evolution is Infernape. Chimchar is very agile which allows him to easily climb trees and rocks. Chimchar lives on the mountain tops and when he sleeps the flame on his tail goes out. Ash received his Chimchar in "When Pokemon World's Collide" when Paul released it, allowing Ash to catch it.

Question 2

Scatterbug

Scatterbug is a small, black insect Pokemon with a large head that takes up most of its body. One tooth pokes out of Scatterbug's mouth and there are three white hairs on the top of its head. A white ruff of fur runs around its entire neck. Scatterbug is threatened by bird Pokemon but when threatened it spews a powder that paralyzes its enemy on contact. Ash helped rescue a Scatterbug in "To Catch A Pokemon Smuggler!" from Dolan and his Diggersby.

Pyroar

Pyroar is a dual type fire/normal Pokemon. Pyroar evolves from Litleo starting at level 35. It is mostly dark brown with light brown legs, tail tip, chest and face. A male Pyroar has a large, red mane with gold streaks whereas a female Pyroar has a long, gold and red mane that extends from its forehead all the way down their bodies. Pyroar are similar to lions in that they live in prides with the dominant male in charge of the group.

Question 4

Tangela

Tangela is a grass type Pokemon that evolves into Tangrowth when leveled up with Ancient Power. Tangela is covered in thick blue vines that obscures everything excepts its eyes. It is unknown what Tanglea looks like without its vines but they are always growing and can be replaced if lost or damaged. The last distinguishing feature of this Pokemon is its red, boot like feet. Tangela can entangle and ensnare anything that comes too close and its vines will snap off painlessly if the target moves too much.

Question 5

Marill

Marill is a dual type water/fairy Pokemon. Marill is a small, spherical shape with a white belly and round ears. There is a blue, bubble like ball at the end of its tail that is filled with oil. The tail is flexible and configured to stretch. In the show, Marill is shown to be able to bounce on its tail in order to escape enemies. When Marill dives under water its tail can be seen bobbing above the surface. Marill appeared many times over the course of the series.

Zigzagoon

Zigzagoon resembles a raccoon with its zig zag pattered fur. It is a normal type Pokemon that evolves into Linoone starting at level 20. If you played the game where this Pokemon was first introduced then you probably ran into a lot of them along your journey, especially in the beginning. This may have even been the first wild Pokemon that you caught. Zigzagoon is found commonly grassy areas and is abundantly curious about the world around it so it is usually searching the ground for new things to explore.

Question 7

Drifloon

Drifloon is a dual type flying/fairy type Pokemon. This Pokemon has a spherical, purple body with two stringy arms with heart shaped hands on the end. Drifloon floats aimlessly around and because of this it has become known as the "Signpost for Wandering Spirits". Drifloon has been known to steal children who mistake them for actual balloons. However due to its light weight it can be resisted easily and is often pulled around. Drifloon is weak to a number of different Pokemon including rock, electric, ice and dark.

Question 8

Flaafy

Flaafy is a pink, sheep like Pokemon. Flaafy is an electric type Pokemon that has thick, conical ears with black stripes on the sides of its head. Flaady's thick, rubbery skin protects it from its strong electric currents. Although Flaafy looks cute and cuddly, it is able to change the quality of its fleece to generate more electricity with less wool. When Flaafy's mane is fully charged the orb on its tail lights up. Flaffy attacks by firing electrified hairs at opponents.

Question 9

Gible

Gible is a dual type ground and dragon Pokemon. He is primarily blue and has a big mouth filled with sharp teeth and arms that start at the edge of his mouth. Gible has no neck. On the top of Gible's head is a dorsle fin, male Gible have a notch on the top of this fin. Gible is very good at digging and enjoys play fighting with other Pokemon. Gible's best defense is their jaw, which is tremendously strong.

Question 10

Pansear

Pansear is a red and cream Pokemon. Pansear is one of the three elemental monkeys. Pansear is a fire type Pokemon that evolves into Simisear when exposed to a fire stone. Pansear's head is red with a tuft on top. The tuft contains a flame and can reach temperatures of up to 600 degrees when it is angry or threatened. This little monkey Pokemon lives in volcanic caves and is known to roast berries before eating them with their flames.

Question 11

Feebas

Feebas is a shabby, old looking fish Pokemon. It has a light brown body covered in irregular dark spots. It's tail and pectoral fins are both blue and tattered. Due to its unattractive appearance Feebas is typically ignored by trainers but he does evolve into Milotic. Milotic is powerful and a lot prettier to look at than Feebas so its worth the wait! Feebas is able to live anywhere, even small puddles, and will eat pretty much anything that it finds.

Question 12

Pikipek

Pikipek is both a normal and flying type Pokemon. He is probably one of the first Pokemon that you encountered during his generation as he was one of Ash's first catches in the show. Although he is small, Pikipek is mighty. He is able to strike sixteen times per second with its beak. This allows it to shatter stone easily. Pikipek communicate to one another through the noise that they make. Pikipek attacks enemies by shooting seeds from berries that they eat at them.

Question 13

Tyrunt

Tyrunt is a dragon and rock type Pokemon. Tyrunt's first major appearance was as Grant's Tyrunt. Grant was a gym leader who was able to defeat two of Ash's Pokemon. Tyrunt's have spoiled and selfish natures. Tyrunt's jaw is strong enough to crush a car easily, so its best not to annoy or upset one. Tyrunt has lived on the earth for over 100 million years. Tyrunt has tiny forearms that are basically good for nothing but his hind legs are very robust allowing him to move around easily.

Question 14

Beartic

Beartic is an ice type Pokemon. Beartic has bluish, white fur and is able to stand on his hind legs. Three spikes of ice hang from his lower jaw, giving the illusion that he has a beard. This Pokemon has the ability to freeze his own breath and uses this ability whenever he needs to get across a body of water. He can also create fangs and claws from ice in order to protect himself and when he battles others Pokemon.

Question 15

Muk

Muk is a large, sticky Pokemon made of living purple sludge. Muk has two eyes as well as an enormous mouth and two arms, each with three fingers. Muk leaks biohazard that kills any plant that it comes in contact with. Extreme caution is advised when dealing with this Pokemon because even simply brushing up beside it can cause extreme sickness. Despite its potential dangerous nature, Muk is actually quiet and friendly as long as he is fed a consistent diet of garbage.

Question 16

Marowak

Marowak is a ground type Pokemon that evolves from Cubone. Marowak's face consists of a skull that it once wore as a mask. Now Marowak cannot remove the skull even if it wanted to because it has become part of its body. Marowak is best known for its ferocity with its bone club which it uses in battles and to fight off enemies. This Pokemon is known for seeking vengeance on its natural born enemy Mandibuzz who torment Cubone because of their naturally timid temperament.

Question 17

Wingull

Wingull is a water type and flying type Pokemon. Wingull is a small, white Pokemon that resembles a seagull. Its head seems to take up most of its body and its lacks a neck. Wingull typically travel in flocks and build nests in steep cliffs by the ocean. Wingull's biggest enemy are Talonflame. Wingull love to eat Wishiwashi and because of this fisherman always look for flocks of Wingull circling a certain area in order to locate where the fish are.

Question 18

Skitty

Skitty is a pink, feline Pokemon. Skitty is a normal type Pokemon. When threatened or in a battle Skitty's tail puffs out and they threaten their opponent with a deep growl. Skitty is childlike, it is fascinated with moving objects and can often found chasing them. It is even known to chase its own tail until it gets dizzy! Despite its cute and cuddly look, it is actually really hard to gain Skitty's trust. Skitty is able to use a Pokemon's own moves against them with assist.

Question 19

Luxio

Luxio is a feline Pokemon that resembles a young lynx or lion. Luxio is an electric type Pokemon that is able to communicate with other Pokemon through electrical currents in his paws. Luxio typically live in small groups and are able to generate powerful electricity by gathering the group's tails together. This proves particularly helpful when they are threatened by other Pokemon. Luxio debuted in "The Rise of Darkrai" where is was among the Pokemon residing in the garden in Alamos Town.

Question 20

Emolga

Emolga is a white, rodent like Pokemon that bares resemblance to a flying squirrel. It also has patches of black and yellow on its body. It is an electric and flying type Pokemon that is not known to evolve from or to any other Pokemon. Like Pikachu, Emolga can generate an electric current through the patches on its cheeks and store the electricity. Emolga can use its flaps to glide from tree to tree while also discharging electricity at the same time.

Question 21

Meditite

Meditite is one of the only Pokemon that actually resemble a human. Meditite is a psychic and fighting type Pokemon that resembles a human mediating. The round, swirl ears are a distinctive feature because they are higher up on male Meditite's than female Meditite's. This Pokemon hightens its inner energy and spiritual power through meditation which allows it to levitate off of the ground. Meditite is very serious about its routine and never deviates from its schedule. It even eats one berry a day as part of its training.

Question 22

Budew

Budew resembles a rosebud and has a cute, yellow face. This Pokemon is a grass and poison type. Budew is known as a "baby" Pokemon but he does evolve into Roselia when leveled up. Budew appears to be wearing a bib with his dark green markings underneath his face. During the winter, Budew keeps his buds closed but during the spring it opens up its buds and released pollen that can cause sneezing and runny noses. True to its nature, Budew typically lives near pools and ponds.

Question 23

Duskull

Duskull is a ghost type Pokemon that is able to become invisible in order to sneak up on its prey. Duskull bears a striking resemblance to the grim reaper with its black robe and skull face. Not surprisingly, Duskull is primarily a nocturnal Pokemon that prefers thick, dark forests. This Pokemon has been said to enjoy the cries of children. When Duskull gets a target in sight he will pursue its intended victim until the break of dawn so its best to steer clear of these guys!

Question 24

Manaphy

Manaphy is a water type mythical Pokemon. Manaphy is not known to evolve from or into any other Pokemon and they have a unique ability to breed even though they are a mythical Pokemon. Manaphy is a small, blue aquatic Pokemon with stubby legs and arms no longer than their body. Eighty percent of Manaphy's body is made up of water and they are highly susceptible to the environment. Manaphy is born with a special power that allows it to bond with any Pokemon.

Question 25

Zorua

Zorua is a gray, fox like Pokemon with red and black accents all over its body. Zorua is a dark type Pokemon that can change its physical appearance. Even though Zorua can transform into a different Pokemon this transformation is merely an illusion as Zorua keeps its own type and moves. Zorua keeps its true identity hidden in order to protect itself from enemies and threats. Zorua has even been known to take on the appearance of a silent child.
