The adventures of the Skywalker family have been enticing audiences for generations now. Some of use grew up with Luke, others grew up with Anakin, and children now are growing up with Ben. The Star Wars saga has always been about family first and foremost, which is probably why it has such a mass appeal to people of all ages, ethnicity, and backgrounds. Well, that and the giant space battles and awesome laser sword fights!
With something as massively popular as Star Wars, there are a lot of differing opinions and confusion about what is canon to the current story and as to what constitutes a "true" Star Wars fan. Is it simply somebody who has watched the movies multiple times? Is it a person who can recite line-for-line episodes of the canon TV shows? Or is it somebody who has spent their entire life reading, watching, and playing different stories within the Star Wars universe, so much so that they consider themselves to be the know-all grandmaster of all things in the Galaxy Far, Far Away?

The lightsaber is the probably the most iconic thing to come out of the Star Wars films. Sure, other Sci-Fi movies have tried to do the whole "laser sword" thing, but none of them has done it as eloquently as these movies. Up until the release of The Last Jedi, the marketing team was pushing these little guys HARD. And why wouldn't they? Just look at how adorable they are! Who was the main villain of A New Hope?
Looking back on the original Star Wars, it feels somewhat out of place with the rest of the saga. There's inconsistencies with the lore, characters are introduced and killed off in the same film, and the climax doesn't involve an epic lightsaber duel. How did Darth Vader ultimately die?
Say what you will about Return of the Jedi, but you will find few people who will argue that the final confrontation and conclusion to Luke and Vader's conflict is anything but powerful. After watching his son get tortured by Emperor Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker is reborn; he throws his master down the large reactor pit to his doom and then is helped by Luke off the exploding Death Star. He tells his son to remove his mask, saying that he's going to die anyway. Why is this the case?
Why did Jabba put a bounty on Han Solo?
During the course of the original trilogy, Han was a man on the run. It's revealed by Greedo in A New Hope that the infamous gangster Jabba the Hutt had put a large bounty on the smuggler's head for something he had done in the past. Han had done various jobs for the Hutts, and Jabba took this flub as a personal betrayal, and put a price on his head so large that "he wouldn't even be able to go near a civilized system." Some view him as the series' most complex villain yet, while others just think he's a whiny Anakin Skywalker rip-off minus the cool Darth Vader armor. In The Force Awakens the audience is given the information that his name was originally Ben Solo before he was seduced to the Dark Side by Snoke and felt betrayed by Luke. Padme Amidala was the character in the Prequels that allowed us to see things from a non-Jedi perspective. She started off as the Queen of Naboo before becoming a Senator and Anakin Skywalker's wife. Sadly, she died from unknown causes in Revenge of the Sith just after giving birth to Luke and Leia. However, Padme was a powerful and headstrong character (just like her daughter would be in the future). Her reign as Queen of Naboo was historic in the Star Wars lore. Why is this?

What fan-favorite character was made canon again in Star Wars: Rebels?
It has not reached Clone Wars levels of popularity yet, but most fans seem to think that Star Wars: Rebels is a great successor to the animated show, and that it is good enough to be spoken in the same breath as the main movies. When Disney bought Lucasfilm back in 2013, they completely erased the old canon. This meant that dozens of awesome characters from the books and video games no longer existed; fans were not happy. However, they got a sliver of hope when Rebels re-introduced this legendary character back into the main canon.

Like it or not, we're going to find out a lot more about Han Solo's past in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story.
