60% Of Lord Of The Rings Fans Can't Pass This Trivia Quiz

If a person says they know everything there is to know about The Lord of the Rings, don't believe them (unless they're Stephen Colbert, because he actually does). J. R. R. Tolkien created a world so complex and expansive that it's nigh on impossible to know everything about it. The history, races and cultures that Tolkien brought into existence are as diverse and detailed as those of our own world, and although many super-fans can list off how many Balrogs or Rings of Power there are, few are actually well-versed in the complex backstory of Middle Earth. That kind of nerdy prowess takes a few good sit-down sessions with The Silmarillion, The Fall of Gondolin and The Unfinished Tales to achieve.

Even though there aren't all that many Tolkien scholars out there, there are a ton of Tolkien fans (those of us who would happily talk about hobbits for hours on end without stopping for food- unless it was hobbit food). So, although fans shouldn't feel bad if they are unable to narrate the life story of Glorfindel, they should consider re-watching the movies again if they aren't able to ace this trivia quiz. This test will determine who the true Tolkien fans are.
