Since the original Star Wars was produced back in 1977 by George Lucas, the universe has grown to include hundreds of planets and races, many trying to bring peace or destruction to the galaxy. Star Wars is one of the top franchises in movie history and has spawned multiple spin off series and movies from the original trilogy that started it all. Lucas went back and completed the first three episodes, and then Disney has taken over and is nearing the end of the final trilogy, while also adding a few one-off films in the process to make it a total of 10 feature films all set within the Star Wars Universe, not to mention the cartoon series, action figures and toys that have made the franchise millions.
So how well do you know your Star Wars characters, planets, people and ships? This character is first met in a cantina in Mos Eisley and is a smuggler who runs a ship called the Millennium Falcon. He eventually joins the alliance, is frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader, and is shipped to Jabba the Hutt for not paying his smuggling debts. This little droid first appeared in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and a spherical droid with a free moving doomed head painted white and orange. The robot is the astromech droid of the Resistance X-wing fighter pilot Poe Dameron. In the film, Poe entrusts a map to the droid that needs to be delivered to the Resistance headquarters in order to determine the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker. He escapes to the planet Jakku, fleeing until he finds Rey, who eventually reunites him with Poe.

Who is this Jedi?
He is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order and the oldest living character in the Star Wars universe at over 900 years old. Despite being small in stature, he is one of the best with a light sabre and often jumps around his much larger opponents to attack. His home world and race are never said. His speech pattern is one of the most well known in Star Wars, as he places word out of order, compared to common English.
Who is this Sith lord?
This Sith Lord was the apprentice to Darth Sidious and appeared in Episode I: The Phantom Menace. He carried a duel bladed lightsaber, made by joining two light sabers together. He first attacked Qui-Gon Jinn on Tatooine, as the two got into a lightsaber battle, and he would later on stab the Jedi Master in the chest when they fought again during the Battle of Naboo. Obi-Wan Kenobi would kill him in the battle, cutting him in half with his lightsaber, sending him tumbling down a shaft. He would return, however, in The Clone Wars.
What is this ship's name?
This modified YT-1300 Corellian light freighter is primarily commanded by Corellian smuggler Han Solo and his Wookiee first mate, Chewbacca. Solo won the ship from Lando Calrissian in the card game 'sabacc'. Solo often brags that the Falcon made the Kessel Run in "less than twelve parsecs", though a few times he does try to go to hyperdrive, the engine stalls. This ship is then stolen from Solo and it sits on Jakku under the ownership of a scrap dealer.

This character is a notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy, and was the one responsible for tracking Han Solo to Cloud City and taking him to Jabba the Hutt while he was frozen in carbonite. He is, in fact, actually a clone of his father, raised as his son and not altered like the rest of the clone army was. He accompanies Jabba to the Great Pit of Carkoon, home of the Sarlacc where he meets his demise, as Han Solo ignites his rocket pack and sends him into the Sarlacc’s mouth.

He was a Kaleesh cyborg, built mostly of metal, as he chose to receive cybernetic implants to increase his combat prowess. He was recruited by Count Dooku to lead the Separatist Droid Army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and trained in the art of lightsaber combat. During his fight Obi-Wan Kenobi, he used four lightsabers but still lost to the Jedi Master, who opened up his chest plate and shot his heart with a blaster.

This character surprised everyone when he told Luke that he was actually his father, as Luke had believed for years that this character had actually killed his father. He was a former Jedi Knight, but he never held the rank of master. This group was a Rebel Alliance starfighter squadron led by Luke Skywalker. The squadron flew craft such as the T-47 air speeders, T-65B X-wing starfighters, and occasionally BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bombers, when heavy ordnance was required. They first assembled during the Battle of Yavin, where they successful blew up the Death Star. Members of the group include Wedge Antilles who is one of the only members to survive both battles with the Death Star. They also fought in the Battle of Hoth.

This character was made for comic relief in the Star Wars Universe and was universally hated because of it. He is a Gungan who lives in the waters of Naboo. By Episode II: Attack of the Clones, he is a delegate to the Galactic Senate. During his time in the Senate, he gives a speech to the assembled Senate in favor of granting Chancellor Palpatine vast emergency powers, which ends up actually destroying the Senate as the Chancellor becomes the Emperor and starts the Galactic Empire.

This character is the administrator for Cloud City, when we first meet him in The Empire Strikes Back. His main concern is keeping the Empire out of his affairs, which he does by striking a deal with Darth Vader and betraying his friends to the Empire. After joining the Rebel Alliance, he helps rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, and is made a general in the Alliance. He takes his old ship, the Millennium Falcon, and leads the attack on the second Death Star.
What is the name given to Sith Lords?
This is the title given to the Dark Lords of the Sith which preceded a moniker different from the birth name, generally given to them by their master. In the Star Wars universe, only the Sith master and apprentice, known as the rule of two, had the title attached to their name. Known characters who had this name with them include Sidious, Vader, Maul and Tyranus. When the master died, the apprentice would take his place, but if the apprentice died, the master would find a new apprentice to serve with him.

She falls in love with Han Solo and together they have three children, including Kylo Ren. She doesn’t use the force like her brother does, but is a sound strategist and leader.
How large was the exhaust port on the Death Star?
The stolen plans for the Death Star showed the space station had a weakness that could cause it to blow up. A torpedo could travel down an exhaust port and hit the main reactor that would cause the station to explode. The difficulty was that to access the exhaust port, you had to travel down a trench that had gun support from within the space station, as well as TIE Fighters outside shooting at you. While some fighters said it was impossible, Luke Skywalker said he used to shoot womp rats in his T-16 at home and they were the same size.

This starfighter was the main fighter for the Imperial fleet, and was often carried on star destroyers and battle stations. They were single piloted ships designed for fast-paced dogfighting with Rebel ships. They are known for their rapid fire of green laser beams. It was also known for the distinct roar the fighter would make during a battle when it flew past another ship or onto a screen. Darth Vader piloted one of these when he tried to stop the Rebels from blowing up the first Death Star.

These aliens are pygmy rodent-like race inhabiting the desert planet of Tatooine. You typically can’t see their face, as they wear cloaks, with only their glowing eyes showing underneath. They are hardworking scavengers and tinkers, picking up broken droids and repairing them to sell. They travel in a mining sandcrawler. In Episode IV, they find C-3PO and R2D2 in the desert, and they eventually sell them to Owen Lars. That same clan is killed by stormtroopers when they come looking for the droids.

This Jedi is a more conservative Jedi and values living in the moment as the best way to embrace the force. He is the one who discovered Anakin Skywalker and tested him to see if he could be trained as Jedi. He is not a member of the Jedi Council, but he is one of the wisest and most powerful Jedi. His apprentice was Obi-Wan Kenobi, who he fought beside against Darth Maul. Unfortunately, Maul was able to kill him by putting a lightsaber through his chest.
Who is this dark lord?
Once a respected Jedi Master, he falls to the Dark side of the Force after the death of his former Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn, and becomes Darth Sidious's second apprentice under the name Darth Tyranus. As the founder of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, he and his death are instrumental in the Clone Wars. Dooku was trained by Yoda as a Padawan learner and is one of the most skilled with a lightsaber. He is executed, however, by Anakin Skywalker during the Battle of Coruscant.

This large slug-like character is a gangster in the Star Wars universe, de facto leader of the Desilijic-Hutt Cartel and the most powerful crime boss on Tatooine. He puts a bounty on Han Solo’s head for his smuggling efforts, and for Han not paying him back. In his palace he has a host of entertainers dancing and singing for him. He is killed when he goes to the Great Pit of Carkoon when Leia wraps her neck restraint around his throat and chokes him.

The Wookie’s are taller, stronger, and hairier than humans and are from this home world. During the Cloner Wars, this planet fought on the side of the Galactic Republic. Yoda travels to the home world of the Wookies during the battles between the droid army and the Wookies, where he watches as Order 66 is carried out he clone army beings to kill the Jedi. He escapes the planet with the help of Chewbacca and Tarfful and goes into exile.
Who shot first?
In the famous standoff between Han Solo and Greedo in the Mos Eisley Cantina, this character shot first. It is one of the most debated questions in the Star Wars universe, as who shot first meant different things to different people. In 1997, George Lucas remade the scene for the other character to distinctively shoot first to end the debate once and for all, but to this day it remains one of the most talked about questions from Star Wars: A New Hope.

This species was credited with stealing the information concerning the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi. They sustained heavy casualties in trying to get the information to the Rebel Alliance. This male Dug was a viscous pod racer pilot who flew a massive orange pod racer with a split-x configuration. He would often bump and smash his way through the competition. A skilled pilot in his own right, he nonetheless opted to install various illegal weapons on his pod racer, such as a flamethrower built into the left engine, to ensure his victories on the track. He crashed during the race with Anakin Skywalker, getting his cockpit tangled with Anakin’s engine, leading to him crashing into the desert sands.

They were used by members of the Rebel Alliance after they domesticated some of them when they built their new headquarters on Hoth. While they could survive in the cold temperatures, too cold did cause their death, as was the case when Han Solo took one to rescue Luke Skywalker on Hoth, and he his died. He cut the animal open and stuffed Luke inside to keep him warm.

This character was a Neimoidian male who served as the Viceroy of the Trade Federation and a high-ranking member of the Separatist Confederacy of Independent Systems. He led the Trade Federation through its invasion of the planet Naboo, at the behest of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. He became a member of the Separatist Alliance, pledging Federation military support for the impending war against the Galactic Republic. He was betrayed by Darth Sidious in the end when Darth Vader appeared and killed him.

This small volcanic planet was scorched with lava and was located on the outer rim territories. They aligned with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars and later taken over by the Galactic Empire after the Techno Union was nationalized at the conclusion of the conflict. On this player, Darth Vader killed many of the separatist leaders, before Obi-Wan Kenobi showed up and battled him. Kenobi did not kill him, however, instead he took the high ground and cut off his legs, leaving him to burn in the lava.

This woman was the Queen of Naboo and she was elected for the position at 14-years-old. She had decoys who dressed as her, while she herself dressed up as one of her hand maidens in order to avoid assassination. After her time as Queen, she emerged as a leading member of the Galactic Senate during the Clone Wars. She got married in secret to Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, as Jedi’s were not supposed to fall in love, and is the mother of Luke and Leia.

This mobile ice planet was the stronghold of the First Order and controlled by General Hux. It was armed with a superweapon capable of destroying entire star systems halfway across the galaxy. The First Order viewed this ability as an evolution of the planet-destroying capabilities of the Galactic Empire's Death Star designs, with the weapon serving as the ultimate culmination of Old Empire research into dark energy translations and hyperspace tunneling. The planet was ultimately destroyed by a Resistance attack, causing the implosion of the entire planet as the superweapon was firing
What was this event called?
This even happened near the end of the Clone Wars, in which the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic turned against the Jedi commanders and terminated them. It was ordered by Darth Sidious, who was also the Emperor at the time. This trigger was implanted into the clones by the Sith Lords and Kaminoan scientists who created the clone army. Not all the Jedi were killed, however, as most notably, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda survived the attack.

The craft generally sits flat on its bottom while docked before taking off and turning 90 degrees while in flight. This podrace was an annual pod race on Tatooine, held in and around the Grand Arena in Mos Espa. The event was held by the Hutt Clan to commemorate the holiday of the same name.
