35 WWE Wrestler Every 90s Kid Can Name And 15 Only Hardcore Fans Would Recognize

Wrestling might be in a good place as it stands today and the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) might still be the biggest promotion by a considerable margin, but it is nowhere near as popular - and pervasive - as it was during the 1990s. Sure, the Attitude Era gave way to now-iconic superstars like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, but even in the mid-90s, when WWE was losing ground to WCW, the company had a bounty of big-name stars, including Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker, arguably three of the most talented in-ring performers of all-time. And then there was the likes of Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and The Ultimate Warrior, who were massive stars in the early part of the decade.

That isn't to say it was all smooth sailing for WWE during the 1990s. The company had its fair share of duds in regard to roster members. Before it found a role for Glenn Jacobs as Kane, the 7-foot superstar had the gimmick of a dentist. It also had a clown, a garbage man, a tax collector, and a hockey player as gimmicks on its roster. While they were embarrassing back then, it's fun to look back and recall those superstars. You could be forgiven if you can't remember them all, but a true WWE fan would be able to at least score 80 percent on this quiz.
