1/10 Super Smash Bros. Players Can't Match These Logos To Their Characters

"Something has gone wrong in the happy world of Nintendo!" Those were the words uttered a mere twenty years ago on television screens across North America introduced many of us to the delightful fun of the Super Smash Bros. series! Ever since players have fallen in love with the series, as many future installments such as Melee, Brawl, Wii U/3DS Edition, and the recently released Ultimate have brought gamers of all different backgrounds together to settle it in this game! One of the most appealing aspects of the series is that it takes characters from franchises from both Nintendo as well as other third parties and pit them against one another. However, there is something that only some eagle-eyed players may have noticed: every character has a little symbol to represent the franchise they are from.

That brings us to this quiz. In it, players will be tasked with matching the symbol to what it represents. The first 70% of the quiz will be quizzing players on the franchises represented in playable characters. The remaining 30% is a bit different, as it is a grab bag of systems, developers, other represented franchises, game modes and much more. The big question is: who is ready to play?

Question 1

What franchise is associated with this symbol?

This franchise is one of Nintendo's most laid back, and this is far from a bad thing. In the many games in the series, players take on the role of a human villager who moves into a new town filled with anthropomorphic animals. When there, they can take on the role of the mayor (at least in New Leaf), plant trees and flowers, chop down other trees, go fishing, catch bugs and much, much more. It is easy to be sucked into the world of these games, as it provides a peaceful escape from some of the stresses of life. What is the name of this franchise?

Question 2

What about this one?

If the last series on this list was laid back, this one is anything but. In the games, players take on the role of a witch with really long hair. The games are action-oriented, incredibly fun, surprisingly challenging (on the right difficulty) and surprisingly mature. The first game was released by SEGA to moderate success and a cult following (Wikipedia). Needless to say, a sequel seemed unlikely until typically family-friendly Nintendo decided to save the series and give it the future it deserves. What is the name of this series?

Question 3

This series of games has had a prolific history for Nintendo but until recently, their representation in the game has been surprisingly limited. An anime adaptation of the series can be found on Netflix, but it is not for the faint of heart. What is the name of this series?
