While we know that the relevance of all art and creativity is subjective, we really struggle to get along with people who have no real interest in music. Even if you like music that we don't like, we get that you like music. When we were younger we used to think that the concept behind this band was pretty stupid, but now that we're older we can really respect what they were trying to achieve. That being said, their music hasn't always done it for us.

This one actually reminds us of the hotel image above. However, this one feels slightly more authentic than the one above. We really like how grubby they've made the image so you really have to squint to see what is going on, which is a genius idea when it comes to getting people to know your album in a shop. That being said, that was probably less of a struggle back in the days of vinyl rather than the days of CDs.

We've never understood the hype around this album, so we will totally understand if you'#ve never heard of it, because it means you're one of the few people who doesn't like it. Do you have any of those albums that everybody else loves but you just don't understand it? Of all the obtuse album covers on this list, we think that has to be our absolute favorite. We honestly have no idea why it appeals to us, but it does. In fact, we would happily have this on a t-shirt, which would definitely lead to some odd looks in public. It's such an interesting tightrope walk that we really can't even explain why it is that this sort of stuff has never got to us, and yet there are very specific examples that do. Reckon there is anyone doing work into figuring out why images with very little can have a very specific effect on a human being's brain? We imagine there isn't much money in that sort of research, which is a shame because it's interesting!

For us, this one just goes a little bit too far. Sometimes somebody needs to be standing in the background to tell you that you've gone too far and need to pull it back, which is advice that works for both creating album art and creating music. Honestly, if you like this band, then we doubt that we can ever get along with you because they pretty much stand for everything we hate about certain parts of the music industry. Not only that, but the cover is absolute trash as well. They are so full of themselves that they can't even pick a single album cover, they have to throw every single idea that they had into one cover. Man, what a bunch of idiots these guys are.

This is another one of those albums that everybody should be listening to, and yet we bet that most people haven't. If you've got any interest in this sort of music then you owe it to yourself to give the album a look. We recommend it highly. As for the cover art, we're actually a huge fan. We personally like these styles of illustration that place various things within someone's head. Is that just us? We know that it has been done to death at this point, but it's still great.

There is something really trippy about this image that we really like. We actually have a lot of love for this album cover, as it lets you know who is in the band while also giving off some color and intrigue. We can see why the rather plain art style might not be for everyone, but we think that a cover with too much going on distracts from the fact that you're here for the music, so this one definitely hits the right balance for us. You never want to be the band best known for your album covers.
