Friends is one of the best shows to ever air on television. Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Monica are all relatable, hilarious characters that keep us laughing. This sitcom is so good that it is still watched today, by kids and adults alike. Even though it has been many years since the show first aired, people still find it relatable and funny enough to watch it now.
The show is has its dramatics and its sad scenes, its comedy and its reality. Every single one of the friends is relatable in some sort of way, allowing us to find a bit of ourselves in each of them. From owning pets to falling in love to having kids and to everything in between, Friends keeps us interested and emotionally invested with every scene.
Lots of events have happened throughout the ten series of Friends, some that seem out of this world and others that are more mundane. Ross Geller is Monica's brother and a paleantologist. He has been in love with Rachel since he met her in the ninth grade and gets to finally date her in season two. They eventually break up and date on and off a couple times. They do end up together in the end and it's a happy ending for all. One thing that the friends have in common is that they are all fairly non violent people. Sure, they all have their moments. When Ross cheats on Rachel, she beats him with a newspaper. Ross and Monica wrestle once and they all tackle Rachel to make her take eye drops. However, Joey is a softie who would never hurt a fly. He is a nice guy who does not fight and spends lots of time hugging his friends. Does he date a girl who playfully hits him?

There have been lots of marriages and near marriages in Friends. The show even starts with Rachel showing up in the coffee house in a wedding dress. Friends is a show filled with all sorts of people and animals. Of course, there is the chick and the duck that Chandler and Joey adopt. As previously mentioned, so many relationships went on throughout the ten series of Friends. There are also so many drunken mistakes that each of the members of the group have done. Monica once got drunk at her birthday party and embarrassed herself in front of her friends and parents. Chandler once got so drunk that he slept with one of Joey's sister's and did not not which one it was. Was one of the drunken mistakes on this show a marriage in Vegas?

All of the friends are huge animal lovers. Rachel adopts a cat, Phoebe takes care of two dogs, and Ross even owns a monkey for some time. Joey and Chandler adopt a chick and a duck, and the farm birds stay with them for awhile. They are a significant part of the Friends cast and appear frequently. Chandler, however, admits to hating dogs at one point, a fact that the others mock him for. Do Joey and Chandler add a bunny to their family?

After Thanksgiving one year, Ross brings a Thanksgiving food leftovers sandwich to work. It is very special to him, since Monica puts a "moist maker" in the middle: a gravy soaked piece of bread. Someone at work eats it and sparks his anger. Phoebe writes a scary note for him to put on his new sandwich that scares people away from him. Slowly, everyone becomes terrified of him since he is more assertive in the workplace. Does his boss make him take time off due to rage?

Monica works very hard to make a living as a chef and is the head chef at a restaurant by the end of the series. However, it was not easy to get to where she ends up. She spends awhile catering. Once for her mother, another for a funeral, and tries to start a business. She also works at some other restaurants along the way. Of course, people in this business get tipped. Was one of her tips this extraordinary sum?
Monica cleans the basement of her building.
Everyone knows that Monica likes things to be clean. Her apartment is always spotless, she does not let her guests eat on the beds, and she is even particular about her dollhouse. One of the women that Ross dates turns out to be incredible messy. After they break up, Monica shows up at her apartment wanting to clean it. She also admits to cleaning several cars outside the building. Her OCD takes over often. Does she also clean the basement of her building?
Ross dates a student.
Ross does not discriminate when it comes to dating. Yes, he dates Rachel on and off, but he also dates her sister without thinking that it is strange. He dates other paleantologists, he married a lesbian, and he even dates and then marries a woman who lives all the way in London. When he becomes a professor, someone leaves him a teacher evaluation calling him a "hottie." It turns out to have been left by a beautiful woman. Does he date her?
Phoebe believes that her mother returns to her in the form of a cat.
Phoebe is a lot quirkier than the rest of her friends. She walks into rooms and senses auras, she does not believe in evolution, and she goes to a psychic. She believes in these things so strongly that she even believes that she is going to die when her psychic tells her she will. Phoebe is very open minded and also believes in reincarnation. She says that death is not so sad because her grandmother will come visit her. Does she believe that her mother returns to her in the form of a cat?
Joey has a crush on Janice.
Janice is that annoying woman with the curly hair, long fake nails, and matching outfits. Joey has a lot of trouble accepting her as Chandler's girlfriend since she annoys him so much. He says that he wishes he could rip off his arm just so that he can throw something at her. However, he works hard to get to like her as a favour to Chandler. Does all of the effort go too far and does he develop a crush on her?
Rachel goes on a date with Gunther.
Gunther spends every single moment of the ten seasons of Friends in love with Rachel Green. He mentions it offhand to several people who ignore him and he thinks it often. However, he is afraid to tell Rachel and instead gets mad at anyone she dates. He even tells Ross that he is the one person not allowed to hang flyers in the coffee house. Does Rachel go on a date with him at some point and make all of his dreams come true?
Ross dates Janice.
Janice is the supremely annoying woman that Chandler dates on and off. She has her moments where Chandler loves her and her moments where he hates her. Joey absolutely cannot stand the woman, so she brings him out for a day. At the end of it, he still hates her. The girls also get annoyed by her whiny voice and hyena laugh. Whenever she shows up, we know we're in for a laugh. Does Ross date her too or not?
Chandler goes to Yemen.
The characters from Friends stay mostly in New York, although they do have a few excursions. When Ross and Emily get married, they plan the wedding to take place in London. The entire gang, except for Phoebe who is pregnant with triplets, heads down there for a few episodes. They also all go to Las Vegas for two episodes and lots of drama happens there as well. Besides for that, they usually stay in New York. Does Chandler head off to Yemen?
Rachel almost moves to Paris.
In the beginning of the show, Rachel struggles to make it on her own after cutting up her father's credit cards. She gets a job at the coffee house and works there for several seasons. She is never good at that job and eventually gets a job at Bloomingdales. After that, she moves on to work at Ralph Lauren and is very successful at her job in the fashion industry. In season ten, does her fashion job almost lead her to France?
Joey thinks that he falls in love with Monica.
In the beginning of their relationship, Monica and Chandler keep their romance a secret. Only Joey knows after accidentally figuring it out and witnesses them being cute together. He sees them doing a crossword puzzle together on a chair and cuddling. Joey has always been someone who has a new relationship every other week, but maybe seeing their closeness softens him up. He starts wanting a nice relationship for himself. Does he worry that he falls in love with Monica?

Very early on in the series, Rachel and Phoebe go to get tattoos. Rachel is very excited about it but becomes nervous when Ross says that he hates tattoos. She gets one anyway, a little heart near her hip, and Ross ends up thinking that it is very sexy. It doesn't come up for the rest of the show and we never see it again. Since Phoebe goes with her, she is expected to get a tattoo. Does she get a tattoo of a lily?
Monica gets stung by a jellyfish.
Phoebe grew up on the streets. Her mother killed herself when Pheobe was young and her father abandoned them. She has almost no family after her grandmother passes away except for her distant twin and her half-brother that she meets unexpectedly. Then, she finds out that she has a biological mother. While she is visiting her on the beach, Monica along with Chandler and Joey head down to the water for some fun. While there, does Monica get stung by a jellyfish?
Ross takes a self-defence class.
In season six, Rachel and Phoebe take a self defence class. They show up at the coffee house bragging about being able to beat people up and Ross teaches them about Unagi. He says that he is always aware. To prove that they are unprepared, he scares them in a hallway. After that, the girls frighten Ross. Finally, they enter their apartment and see Ross hiding behind a chair. They proceed to tackle him. Does Ross take a self defence class after this?
Rachel accidentally kisses her interviewer.
Rachel Green may have started the show running from a man at the altar, but she shows lots of character development by the end. She works at Central Perk for some time before quitting and working at Bloomingdales and then Ralph Lauren. She goes on lots of interviews and Phoebe even tries to help her prepare for them. During one of the interviews, it goes well until the end and Rachel is embarrassed. Is that embarrassing thing an inadvertent kiss?
